It was either something on the NES- likely Mario or Sega- likely Sonic the Hedgehog 2. First thing I recall on the PC was Quake II

First PC game was 'Decent'.

First NES Mario and duck hunt. then Heavy Barrel.
That 30 seconds using the Heavy Barrel was awesome!

First SEGA game was Sonic the Hedgehog

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure it was Mario ^ ^ Although, I had to wait until my sisters got through it first, because.. they weren't very good about sharing ;____;

It was something on the 2600... Pitfall or pacman or fast food or burgertime... I don't really remember... I was only 3... I didn't become a real game player until the Christmas of 86, when I got my NES.

The first game I played was TMNT or some other game on Nintendo. I do think it was TMNT.

I remember playing that game, my mom tricked me for a day.
Then I tricked her, saying I was playing it, but actually was playing another video game LOL.

umm...i dont quite remember the game. we had two of them...but i can only remember one that i played...::thinks:: it had like a cat in it...and there were different levels...that were on a map and you had to make it to like a mountain or something. ::thinks::
::goes and looks to see if we still have it:: AHA! it was Reader Rabbits Math Journey for grades 1-3...and then the second one i remember playing was Reader Rabbits Math grades 6-9 or something....

the higher grade one was that you get stuck on an island and you have to solve math problems to gather pieces for a boat so you can get back home. yup. HAHA =]

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES.

My friend and I played that game a ridiculous amount of times. We would visit each other and hold 100% completion speed run contests. I think my friend still holds the record with a time just over four hours.

Chameleon Twist for the N64:
Image

It was this GREAT </sarcastic> N64 game my parents bought us where you played a Chameleon who turned into a guy (yet kept his tongue) and had adventures in Bizzaro Wonderland following a white rabbit and chasing crowns and avoiding VERY cute enemies. My brother and I played it several times over, until we got our second game:

Diddy Kong Racing 64, I loved that game as well. That was the only game my sister would play with me in.
The only game, there was none after that!

Mario and Duck hunt were my first I do believe and then TMNT II. Our neighbors had an NES long before we did and we went over there to play. They had a few games but the ones I really remember playing where Mario, duck hunt, and TMNT II. I still remember the PW to level warp and gain 9 lives for turtles but I haven't played the game in ages.

You know, I think Mario and Duckhunt were the first I ever played as well, although I was nuts about Double Dragon before my parents bought me an NES which had the game that sealed the deal: Megaman 3!

I'm pretty sure the first game I played was Super Colums for the Sega Game Gear (I think). Or at least that was the first game (and system) I owned...

It was one of a collection of 2600 games we owned, so I don't know what the very first was...

Pitfall
Empire Strikes Back
Burger Time
Journey (yeah, based on the band)
Spiderman
Centipede
Pacman

I don't remember which one it was, or if it was one I forgot...

I really became a gamer once I got my NES, though, and the first game I played on that was Duckhunt, I believe, though it may have been Kung Fu. I also got Kung Fu, Baseball, Soccer, and gyromite (with R.O.B.) I didn't get Super Mario brothers until a month or two later...

That's for some bundles.
He got the Deluxe set, which didn't come with Mario.
The Deluxe was the most expensive pack to come out, which also explains why he had R.O.B. ( Still have him? )

When I won mine from McDonalds I got the NES Action Set, which is the most successful package they ever made. That's prolly what you have as well.

The combo cart of SMB and Duck Hunt didn't come around for probably a year or two after the system was released, I believe... Besides the combo SMB / Duckhunt Cart, there was also a combo SMB / Duckhunt / Track and Field that came with the Power Pad, which my nephews got (when I say nephews, they were about my age, one younger, one older than me)

No, i don't have R.O.B anymore, my Parents could never figure out how to work him or put him together, so they ended up throwing it away.

Can't really remember the first game... but my earliest memories are pretty much Echo the Dolphin, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Flicky... and Quackshot (Genesis games). I kind of miss Flicky; someone should make a new version of it.

My first video game was Super Mario Brothers on the NES. My mom and her friend would play a good bit --and then I would try and play (but I was pretty young and stunk at it).

It's still a game I've never been able to beat. I get to World 8, Level 2 and die every time. I can get there really easily, I just haven't been able to get past it in over 15 years of trying off and on. Stupid bullets and huge jumps over chasms. :P

I still have it --my friend found a working NES in her storage and gave it to me --I have the Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt cartridge. I have a working gun too. (don't remember what it's called...).

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
