Fear Itself

Postby ADXC » Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:41 pm

Has anyone else been watching this show for the past 1 month and a half? Well I really like the show, it has twists and turns in horror fashion. It sorta reminds me of The Twilight Zone. It comes on NBC Thursday nights at 10. And if you haven't seen the show you can still watch the remaining episodes that come on NBC. They are separate episodes so you didn't have to see the previous ones to understand the show.

The episode titles(That have already been shown.) are as follows:

1. The Sacrifice

2. Spooked

3. Family Man

4. In Sickness and in Health

5. Eater

6. New Year's Day

7. Community

Here's a link for full video episodes of episodes 1, 5, and 6. And maybe some clips from other episodes.

If you have seen these episodes, please share you thoughts and opinions. I will also do that when someone else shares theirs.

I LOVE Fear Itself. It's an awesome show! Kinda reminds me of Tales of the Crypt, Twilight Zone, shows like that.

Watched "Community" last night. It was so creepy that a neighborhood would just be spying on each other. And
when the main guy tried to run away from the neighborhood, his legs were cut off by the neighborhood's manager! That was just crazy!
That's good that you find the show good as well. Please when you do spoilers, type in white letters so people won't accidentally see the spoiler without their own consent.

But anyways yeah.
To them it wasn't really spying. What's good for the community is what's good for us all. That's what they thought. Remember the next door older male neighbor? Remember that he didn't have real legs. So he tried to escape once before. But then they cut off his legs. I thought it was cool when he stabbed the lady with a pair of scissors.
Have you seen any other episodes, ilikegir33?

I saw the New Years Day one and...
at first I thought it was kinda weird...and stupid, but I'm way overly critical when it comes to movies and shows, lol. At the end though when you finally discover that the girl is a zombie, I was like "Ohhhh....that explains some stuff." That episode was ok I guess, but I haven't seen any of the other ones. I wasn't able to catch last night's episode either, so yeah. I should go back and watch them.
Have any episode suggestions?

Well really New Year's Day isn't the best one.
Because really if it did not have an ending like that, I would have said that episode was a waste. So you want some suggestions? Okay then, but Im not sure what you like. Because every other episode has something different to offer. Like New Year's Day offers Zombies, The Sacrifice offers vampires(Sorry, I tried not to reveal). Spooked is pretty cool because when a detective with a bad past is offered a job to spy on someone from another house, but he doesn't really see what he's supposed to see. Family Man is just a slapstick in the face of an upright good man while his soul is placed in the body of a killer after a car wreck. In sickness and in Health is sorta like New Year's Day, except without the zombies. Be prepared for the ending. Eater isn't really for the light of heart. There will be blood or something else? (Im not revealing.) Community is when a young couple find the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood with a dark secret.
And there you have it. I didn't know what kind of horror you liked so I just talked about all of them. But really though even if you read those, it wouldn't be giving away the story of each.

You are most welcome. But I may did not summarize In Sickness and in Health very well.
In Sickness and in Health is about a girl and her special day to be married. She receives an anonymous note saying that she is marrying a serial killer.
I liked In Sickness and in Health. But Eater is a pretty good episode too.
It's about a policewoman who has to guard a Cajun cannibal named Mellor (nicknamed Eater) who ingests peoples' hearts.

animedude, I've seen all the episodes so far. And it's pretty cool that all of the episodes are directed by modern horror moguls.

Oh sorry, I didn't want to reveal too much about eater. I wanted to leave it as a surprise. But from the title you can pretty much guess what's in it. And its okay that you summarized it.

That's great that y'all like it. I can't wait to see next weeks episode.

This week's episode was Skin and Bones.

I'll say this, if you did not care for Eater then you won't like this one. (Im wondering if I gave too much away.)
Basically a ranch owner comes back from the forrest after many days to his home and family, but he's not quite the same.
Your spoiler tags are malfunctioning some of you. Double check your posts.

I was excited to see a horror series return to the basic channels. The episodes themselves are hit and miss for me though. I enjoyed The Sacrifice, In Sickness and in Health, The Eater, and have a serious fangirl crush on New Years Day. The Spooked episode was no good for me because I have issues with black magic, which caused some trouble when watching The Eater, and I just didn't find Community to be frightening. That was dull for me.
