I was really expecting Kenshin for you... I, also, have never dreamed about my own creations, unless you count my "cloud city" dream, but the dream was the inspiration for the story in that case.
I think I have dreamed that the sailormoon cast were real life people (not animated, my brain made real people to be them...) and I once dreamed of Aeka from Tenchi...
In the Aeka dream, there was this map that showed the whole world in 3d that appeared when ingredients were mixed on a pool table. My friend (who I will be sorta living with in about a month) knew how to make it, but it was like the marauder's map in Harry Potter. It showed exactly what was going on (only this was the whole world and not just a small area) I ruined it accidentally by spilling something in it or by hitting the pool balls or something, and the map changed, showing more land and revealing a whole other continent.
In the dream, this had to do with the tribulation or something, and it sorta went to a video of what was on this continent. Under the ground (which was under water) there was this blob thing that wanted to kill people, and it was trapped underground. Some other stuff happened in the dream, but at the end, Aeka was standing on top of the chamber where the blob was. She couldn't see it, but it called out to her (yes, it was sentient and capable of speech) and said "The king wants you to let his blob out!" She went to the door of the chamber and began to open it, and the blob rushed the door. That's when I woke up.
