Gabriel (Australian movie) - Dark urban fantasy - angels and demons

Gabriel. This is a dark Aussie flick.
I loved it. It's basically about arcs (arc angels) and fallen (demons) and Purgatory on Earth.
If you enjoyed The Crow, Equilibrium, Underworld, Van Helsing, Constantine, Dark City - those sort of movies, there's a good chance you might enjoy it.

There was very little cheese, decent acting, sets, soundtrack - all great.
It was very intense, raw, dark and gritty, but also very human too.
There was some messed up theology but some things they got right too.
I went in with no expectations and was blown away.
The movie was made for just under $200,000 Australian which buys you almost half of a Hummer (Humvee for USians).
Amazing. For what it set out to accomplish this movie is very good.
See it now!

Interesting! I'd never heard of such a film.

Question though, based off of the trailer...
Does Gabriel have sex with a human woman?
Yes and no. They do have sex (not graphic in the least) but she isn't human.

There is a moderate amount of strong language, and a decent amount of violence (intense too) but it's not gorey. The sexual references are there but few and far between.

I think you'd like it mate.

(trailer is okay but the movie is much better)

Cool beans.

Consider it right on my list next to Perfect Creatures.

At first I thought: "Was this really made in Australia??" Because... it didn't sound like it. I think they were more aiming for "international Hollywood" accents.

It's truly amazing what they did with the budget.
Everywhere like such as, and MOES.
