I'd have to say Zell from FF VIII. He was, how should I put this, different. I've seen him described as a wimp, but never actually thought that myself. I liked his character. ^^

My fave? Lulu, from FFX... I intend on cosplaying her, once I have the baby... Then Ichi & I can be Lulu and Wakka (we're lucky enough to both resemble the characters) and the baby will be Vidina! ^_^

Of course, i'm making an assumption (unless Kefka uses the "f" word, because there is no equivalent to that in Japanese, therefore any use of that word in an anime or game translation is mere "spicing up" by the translators) and there may be a real legitamate translation out there that contains "cussing" particularly in the use of the Japanese word "Kuso" which has about the same use as our word "sh**" though probably not as taboo. What I don't like is things like "Nani" or variations on that meaning what getting translated as "What the He**" I suppose from the point of view of a translator, that seems the best way to translate that, but it gets frustrating when I show it to friends or, forbid it, Family.

Anyhow... Where did you get the "uncensored" translation?

Interesting 5 year old post, more like it... I'm amazed at the gravedig here, but I never gave my favorite... I suppose Relm may be, but that could change in thinking it over.

Oh, and I stand by what I said... The "cussing" rom of FF6 was a hack... There was no official release that (in English) other than the Woolsey translation. The non-woolsy english translation (that calls Terra a b**** among other groaners, like "son of a b****" instead of "Son of a submariner") was just a fan translation that used the Woolsey script and extrapolated their own "guesses" as to what was censored.

While I can't be completely certain, not having the file I originally played, in retrospect I think you are correct. Though it wasn't the "uncensored" hack, keeping a number of Woolsey's changes, it was certainly something primarily done by fans and probably not accurate.

On my part, I'll have to think about it. The nominees are:
1. Sephiroth
2. Vincent
3. Auron
4. Shadow

I guess, in the end, I'll go with Auron. All characters I mentioned are cool, but that's the way I'm going to go. Sephiroth has a really high coolness rating, but face it: he's nuts. Shadow is cool but his ending is... yeah. And Vincent has it all except he doesn't use a sword, and I don't like his transformations all that much. Shame.

I figured that Sephiroth would be your number 1. (It was just a wild guess tho, it really had nothing to do with your avatar...)

So far, Auron's my favorite.

Runners up would probably be Kimahri Ronso (for his strong will) and Zell
(let's be honest, he's hilarious).

Irvine Kinneas and Balthier. Runner-ups are Auron and Rikku, with other various FF8 characters continuing down the list. XD
