American Ponyo release reportedly gets producers

I'll be sure to check this out when it comes out on video -- it'll probably be a year or more before that, right?

Probably. But hey, it's great to hear another Hayao Miyazaki film already has plans for a U.S. release.

Right now theater release, but you know that it will have a video release, since they are going to run in theaters.

What is interesting to me is, the two work for Spielberg and Universal alot. It makes you wonder if Ghibli is or still going to deal with Disney in their video release.

I've been waiting for this to come out in japan for about a year =D still waiting for a trailer though, they really hide them until right before release. it's kinda odd.

I am another big fan of Miyazaki-sama's anime films and such, so I definitely want to see this. And I've seen something close to a trailer on Youtube. Search "Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea".

The theme is kinda cute. It's sung by a 7-year old boy and a famous Japanese pop artist.

Yeah, I've heard the song, you can find it by searching that or Gake no Ue no Ponyo and 崖の上のポニョ. but, as far as an actual trailer, and not just the promotional images, apparently they wont even being played in Japanese theaters until next month.
