Bad movies you actually like

Okay, admit it. You've watched some garbage movies. And you've actually liked them. Here are my favorites, so how about you?:
Howard the Duck--Why George Lucas, why did you make this? What did we do to deserve this debacle?
Big Trouble in Little China--trust me, this movie is BAD!
any Police Academy--the series really went south after Steve Guttenberg wasn't in them.
Stay Tuned--the devil has his own cable service, granting users 666 channels for one low price...your soul:evil: This movie really exists! Click here if you want proof.

Oglio and the Point. XD (despite being an off-beat by product of the 70's this one was very artistic and had a, well, point)
Dragonheart.
Princess Bride.
Neverending Story (I only liked the first one despite how much they cheapened and butchered the book).

B-grade fantasy heaven indeed.

Napolean Dynamite, although I personally think it's good, I've met someone who says it is the worst movie in the world.

Hey, the Princess Bride is a great movie! :shady:

Oh, word! A great movie about the often overlooked fighting style of Capoeira.

I would also like to add King Kong Vs. Godzilla, English Dub Version. Best monster movie ever.

I never knew Princess Bride and The Never-ending Story were considered bad movies.
I don't usually like bad movies but two fun but crap movies I enjoy are:
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Volcano, Waterworld, Transformers (action packed, noisy and quite funny at times), and Black Dog.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is probably the worst execution of one of the best ideas I've ever heard. And I still enjoyed it. Good popcorn flick, I'd watch it again.

I have to second Big Trouble in Little China.

Reign of Fire
Pitch Black
Chronicles of Riddick
BeastMaster (I KNOW, but I was a kid who watched He-Man and this guy loved animals)

I liked all the action and art direction (some crappy CGI though).
Yes, it was shallow but it was fun. I guess the only positive it had in relation to the original graphic novel was the lack of copious sex scenes and other sexual behaviour.
Alan Moore is stupid in that respect. At least with Watchmen the inappropriate details weren't lingered on and were intelligently woven into the story. Watchmen is brilliant, LXG was utter crap for the most part.

I present to you the bad movies I like and why I consider these to be "bad movies" (since some of these you may disagree with...):

-Transformers (as soon as the autobots were introduced...the dialogue went from being ok to being just down right cheesy...also the acting was bleh for the most part...still, I absolutely loved this movie and would pay to see a sequel...)
-Who Am I? (watching this movie again, I realized that the script really wasn't that good...and if it wasn't for Jackie Chan being Jackie Chan I probably wouldn't have liked it much at all...)
-Dodgeball (A good, stupid summer movie that is a great excuse to get out of the heat and go see a movie...but yeah it really wasn't that good...)

Apparently Dragonheart is considered bad, but I used to love it to death. I haven't seen it in like ten years though.

There are a few more bad movies that I used to like but have since grown out of. Like A Life Less Ordinary and SLC Punk.

Like you said, it had Jackie Chan in it, and that's what sort of made it. That and he went to South Africa and Russia. Awesome! Actually, take it back, it was so cool.:red:

Mad Max. Really, anyone who've seen it know how bad it is, but I love it.
Waterworld.
Volcano. See a pattern here? All these disaster/apocalyptic movies. My bro has had way too much influence on me...
Drunken Master.

I'll add more when I think of them; I've sure had the chance to fall in love with bad movies.

None of Jackie Chan's movies are A grade material script-wise but Rumble in the Bronx, The Police Story and Who Am I? are probably his most solid efforts.

As far as I know The Princess Bride has never been considered a bad movie. Neither has The Never-ending Story (though the sequels are a different thing).

Would it shock people if I admit that I actually like Manos: The Hands of Fate? Terrible, terrible movie. Beyond Terrible. But I can't dislike any movie that makes me go "what the heck is this!"

Stay Tuned

I LOVED that movie! Its been years since I've seen it though. My local video store doesn't have it to rent.

Here's my list:

House of the Dead: Brainless zombie fun.

Mortal Kombat/MK Annailation: Awful storylines, and retrospectively mediocre fight choregrophy (Woo-ping Yuen has spoiled me ^^), but lots of amusingly cheesy one liners, and I still can't help going "fanboy" over seeing all the well-known characters in action. And an awesome main theme.

The Killer Tomato Quadrilogy: Low grade B-movies on the outside, surprisingly witty and satirical on closer examination. A lot of the jokes were things that flew right over my head when I was a kid, but not now...

Cannibal Women in the Avacado Jungle of Death: Extremely low budget and cheesy, but also hilarious and pretty on-target with its political satire. "Margo Hunt: They're an ancient commune of feminists, so radical, so militant, so left of center they... they eat their men.
Bunny: Oh, that. Well, if I like a guy, I usually start at...
Margo Hunt: They don't eat their men like that, Bunny. "
Jessie and James, together forever!

AAML forever!

Okay, I admit it. For as terrible, horrible, and atrocious as the Super Mario Bros. movie was, I can't help but like it for being one of the worst movies ever. It's awesome to own it on DVD so whenever somebody says "Man that was the worst movie I've ever seen!" I can say "Oh, I think I have one worse."

Well, if The Chronicles of Riddick is considered a bad movie, then I like that one (I thought it was good; not the most awesome thing ever, but not that bad).

Also, I seem to be the only one who liked I Am Legend very much, so maybe that counts as a 'bad movie'?

Okay, here's a movie I'm sure is bad: Dune. The character designs for maybe half the characters are rather weird and/or outdated, the acting is almost always melodramatic, and the special effects made me laugh really hard. But for some reason, I still rather liked it. Maybe it was the sand worms. Maybe it was seeing things happening that I'd just read about. Probably it was Alia, though.
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

Oh, I thought of something else.

Home Alone is considered by many to be a terrible movie, but I actually think it's kinda fun. It was the funniest thing ever when I was in the second grade, and when I watch it as an adult, it's still funny, but for different reasons. XD It's become one of those movies I watch every year at Christmas now.

Also, Transformers is a bad movie but I had a blast watching it on the big screen. I don't think I'd want to see it again, though.

And don't forget Independence Day. Yes, I know it's awful, but there's just something about that movie. I think it's probably Will Smith's awesomeness.

Oh wait, did anybody see The Wicker Man? That movie was a complete waste of film and time except for a few things:

- Nic Cage punching women in the face
- Nic Cage punching women in the face wearing a bear suit
- NO NOT THE BEES! THEY'RE IN MY EYES! AUUUGHGHHHGH!
