Talison took off running She ran into a man she didn't know and said " Pleas help me..." She looked at Roscoe and said " Please Roscoe I need help with a lady on the steps!"

Roscoe, who had just gotten up and was still feeling drowsy, was suddenly knocked into by a familliar little frantic fox. He was about to yell and accuse the person of not paying attention, but blinked a few times and saw it was Talison. He held back a yawn, and tried to brush his shaggy hair away from his eyes, with little success. He mentally put a hair-cut appointment on his callender.
"Tali?" He questioned, kneeling down on one knee. "What's up with you so early in the morning?"

" Please Roscoe I need help with a lady on the steps!"

Roscoe's eyebrows knitted together in confusion,
"A lady on the steps?" He questioned, thinking Talison was imagining things again. He stood to his full massive height and made his way to the steps to investigate, with Tali right by his side as he walked through the open door to discover that Talison was telling the truth.
"Holy smokes! There really IS a lady on the steps!" He bellowed out, and went to the girl's side, where Jericho also was.

[font="palatino Linotype"]Siobhan watched Talison walk out and turned her gaze back to Kisho.
She stood up and walked over to her closet.

"I can show you, if you would wait a few minutes."
She rummaged around the closet, and walked back out in an oddly shaped halter top with long sleeves.
She turned around, revealing a large cross-shaped marking that took up most of the skin on her back.
"This is my marking from my old orphanage. When we were considered 'Less-than', we were branded."

She looked over her shoulder at the black-and-orange-haired male sitting on her bed.
"I can tell you what happened if you have time. It's a long story, though..."[/font]

Kisho hugged Tali back and watched her leave, he smiled and then turned back to Siobhan. Kisho watched her rummage and then come out in the halter top, he stared at the mark. "Oh... my gosh." he whispered he wanted to reach out and touch it, but he knew that would be crossing a line, "I have all the time in the world." Kisho said, his eyes shifted from her mark to her eyes and his eyes revealed his concern for her, he wanted to know.

[font="palatino Linotype"]Siobhan furrowed her eyebrows.

"You may touch it if you wish. I have no feeling back there, but to my hands, it feels like an elderly person's wrinkled skin."

She sighed and shook her head.
"I know that you haven't heard this, but I used to have a younger sister. Her name was Ashtyn. She was the most beautiful girl in the history of the world, to my eyes.
We were both placed in an orphanage at a young age, but she was the 'special one', because of her white skin and bright blue eyes.

When some families were to come for an adoption day, she was the first person to be in line. She was given the best clothing, her hair was styled, she was treated like the royalty she should have been. Me? I wasn't even up for adoption. They had me working as a cook in the kitchen, because no one else knew how to cook there..."

Siobhan turned around to face Kisho, her eyes turning dull.
"That's when everything turned for the worse again. A wealthy family had finally adopted her. I was so happy. I was even happy enough to create new dishes for the director of the orphanage! But, then, a few weeks later, the family brought back a large bag, which I have since learned was a body bag. They threw it on the ground, and told me to open it.
I unzipped the bag to find the immaculate face of my sister had been scarred by something jagged. The director and his staff of three men walked up behind me. The turned her body over, ripped her shirt off, seared the Cross Brand on her frozen flesh, and told me to go outside to the sand pit and bury her...so I did."

Tears started flowing one by one from her eyes, and she placed her arms around Kisho's neck in a desperate hug.

"I ran away that night and found this place a couple of days later..."

Midnight came up to Jericho and whined

"Don't worry, we'll have her better in no time." he said as he petted the dog.

Roscoe came running back with Talison. "Roscoe? Will you may be better suited for this any ways." Looking back down at the young lady. " She's tired and could be dehydrated. I say it's best to get her to the kitchen, stat!"

[Nami]

Kisho stared at her as she told the story, no expressions crossed his face, he simply listened. Kisho's eyes had widened when he heard what had happened to her sister, "That's horrible." he whispered, he felt her arms go around his neck and he slowly wrapped his arms around her pulling into a gentle hug. "That's terrible, I'm really sorry that that had to happen to someone as wonderful as you." Kisho whispered hugging her close.

It was such a horrible thing, but Kisho had pictured it all in his head and he had watched the scenes play out as she had spoken, he had almost wanted to puke when she told him about her sister. Kisho closed his eyes feeling his anger boiling inside, it was unforgivable what they had done to her. "It's going to be okay... It will be. Here.. you are safe. You have people here that really love you and will protect you. I... I will do whatever it takes to keep you from ever getting hurt again." One of his hands rested on her back where the mark was, he felt it gently, it must have hurt a lot. Kisho's brows furrowed as he thought about how painful it must have been.

Unico stepped out onto the porch, his barefoot making rhythmatic, dull echoes as he approached to see what the commotion was about.

"What is going on?! -Who was barking?" He quietly crept closer and attempted to see over Roscoe's shoulder. He finally managed to see the girl. (after squeezing rudely between the crowd) Unico stared at her for a moment, trying to piece together what had happened in his mind. Finally, he turned to Jericho and hissed angrily.

"She can't stay here. She's not an Anichi."

"WELL!, what else are we to do?! Just let her die like this?! " Jericho stared angerly at Unico.

"Human or Anichi we were all created equal under God's eyes. After all, God has done the same for us."

"I-I've never told anyone this before...It feels really weird actually speaking up about this.."

She rested her head on his shoulder, a small genuine smile coming across her face.
"Thank you so very much, Ki. I don't know what I would do without you, but I'm being really selfish, aren't I?"[/font]

Anser watched everybody heading for the front door and was tempted to follow them. He jumped off the stool and hurried to the door, only to be blocked by everybody else. Angry at his short height, he placed his feet and hands on the door frame and shimmied his way up to atop everybody.

The young girl lay at every bodies feet, looking ready to pass out. "Doesn't anybody have any common sense!" Anser shouted, his usually high pitched voice turning deep and menacing as he growled. He released his foot hold and fell to the floor, roughly shoving people out of the way. "Don't just leave her dangled on the steps, lay her on the floor or a bed proper! And get some water already!"

Talison ran out trhough the crowd and looked and hugged the new girl " Unico yu don't have to be such a jerk... she's a person too just because she doesn't look like us and everything doesn't mean she isn't a person..." She ran up and hit Unico repeatedly for a minute and then looked at Anser pleadingly

Adrianna woke up and said in a raspy tone " Water could I please have some water... Midnight where is midnight..."

Anser looked at Unico, he was also tempted to hit the guy. "Let her stay for a night," he demanded. "She's half dead, what trouble could she cause?"

Adrianna looked at Unico and said " Please don't turn.... Please...Please...I am a friend to the people of the beast.... I mean...I mean no harm..."
Talison ran up and clung to Adrianna and said " If you turn her away Unico I will never forgive you..." Adrianna looked at Unico and said " Please... could I have...some water..."

Unico just stood there, glaring at the girl. Where he got struck was throbbing, but wasn't as painful as knowing Talison was angry enough to hit him. His eyes scanned the gathering, looking for a meager sign of doubt about the girl. Yet, he found none. They all looked generally concerned about her, even annoyed with him. He slipped his hand between his hair and neck, slowly and coldly he snapped:

"Its not my decision if she stays or goes. I have a right to voice my opinion as well as any of you. If you want to help her, then do. Someone should get Siobhan, she is the eldest."

Unico looked back down at the girl. He quickly stormed back into the house, annoyed. Calling over his shoulder. "-I'll get it some water. Bring it in before it dies."

Unico walked into the open kitchen and headed for a cabinet. He took down a clean glass and filled it with water. He bit down on his tongue, seething with petty anger.Why is she even here?! God, why did you bring one of them to us?!

Kisho patted her back gently, trying to console her somehow. "Well, I'm glad you trusted me enough to tell me." Kisho felt her smile on his shoulder and his lips twitched, he wanted to smile to. "No... I don't think you are being selfish at all Sio." he whispered, "I am really glad that I can finally help you." Kisho felt relief throughout his whole body, he had seen pain hidden behind those eyes for a long time and hadn't known what to do about it. He could read the pain easily because he suffered from the pain of his past as well. But he hid it behind an emotionless face.

"And...those events led to my..."

She unwrapped her arms from around his neck, held up her arm wrist-forward in front of his face, and pulled down the sleeves of her shirt.

"...cutting. I hope that this doesn't make you think of me any less. Thank you for listening to my ramblings."

She turned her head towards her window.
"Something's happening. We should go check it out."[/font]

ooc: i'm new so im going to just put that i have only been at the orphanage for a few days and mainly kept secluded...you can see my bio in the RPG thread *smile

Kianna blinked her eyes against the sun, "Those people..." she muttered as the commotion went on down below. You should be grateful, she chided herself. She was. Afterall, it had only been three days since she found this place. An Anichi they had called her. She only knew a little of what that meant. She kept quiet, leaving only at night to hunt a few rabbit for herself. She had lived alone in the woods most of her life although she wasn't ready to tell them her past.

She could sense the animals within them. A snake, a dog (perhaps), a buffalo and a few others. She often heard sounds on the roof and talking, maybe another one could fly. She didn't mind being alone though, in fact she perferred it. She trained a little in the room, it was nice to do something without having to worry about humans catching her. It was the first time in her life that she didn't have to worry about it. At least that was what the woman had said.

Woman...what was her name? It seemed so long ago. Oh well, there would be time for memories...hopefully God would allow her rest at the moment.

She pressed her ears to the door, a dogs barking and the shouts of the others. No not yet, she should stay. They all know eachother...its not safe to go out yet. What if they didn't accept her?

She sighed, keeping her ear towards the door. Listening intently.

Unico stood at the door, waiting. He tapped his feet against the floor and snapped.

"Well?! Must we waste all our time with it?! Here's its bloody drink." He slammed the glass onto the coffee table that lay beside the couch. Most of the contents of the drink splashed onto the surface. Unico felt foolish for his outburst, but wasn't about to admit it. He turned around, and stormed up the stairs. Thumping his feet along the way in a purposely loud manner. He hissed without looking back*

"-Its all of your problem now. I'm going to my room."

[Kunoichi]

OOC: Yes, you know she's there.

Kianna heard the outburst. It was the snake...Unico. That was his name. She could only get glimpse of the orphanage through the snippets she heard through the walls and doors.

"Don't worry, Tali. I just hurt myself when I was fixing the broken window a few weeks ago, do you remember? I'll be fine, don't worry!"

She plastered on a fake smile yet again for the small girl. Old habits are hard to break, I guess.[/font]

Adrianna looked at the crowd and her dog midnight barked and Adrianna tried to stand and said " please, I know... I am not welcomed here.... but I have nowhere else to go..."

"Don't give it another thought. Just rest and regain your strength." Jericho felt sorry for her for some odd reason.

He didn't know why, but there something about her that reminded him of something that he just couldn't but his finger on.

Kianna waited, her heart beating hard. Maybe she should risk it.

She stepped outside the door, gently closing the door behind her. She walked down the stairs, just to observe.

She spotted the human, and the others crowded around her. She walked down, approaching her cautiously. She fought rising anger in her. Humans could not be trusted.

"Unico is right to be cautious," She spoke quietly, "humans can not be trusted." She kept her hand on the dagger on her hip without a second thought. She didn't look at the others. If they didn't accept her then she would have to leave. That was okay with her.

She was small (OOC: Bio states 5'4, 12 yrs old) but she wasn't afraid. Well actually if she admit it to herself, she was terrified of the lonliness, but she had learned to be a survivor.

Jericho looked at Kianna as if he was about to attack. "And who asked you! In all truth we're more of a danger to them as they are to us!"

Why was he acting like this. He normally wouldn't even lag around if anyone else was in trouble, not even for Talison.
