Granted. You can grow wings. You can also fly the high skies and all in an airplane. Your wings don't help you fly, though. And they're kind of ratty looking and ugly, and people look at you weird, and think you're a freak. Then the anti-mutant lobby gets ahold of you. They don't put you in a science lab, though, they put you in a cell until they get around to shooting you.
