HAH!!!!
Wow....

My entire reason for watching Cartoon Network during the Weekdays has just taken a nose dive... Sayonara idiots! Guess Fox News and Speed Channel will be making themselves right at home on my TV.

Or maybe I can save some electricity and turn the idiot box off 8D

Guess I'll just keep watching the usual Animal Planet and Discovery Health Channel...
That's sad --no anime 'til the weekend--that means I can only watch on Friday nights --every other night is too late on the weekend...

I guess there's always Netflix or Hastings...
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. Blue Gender (lj1958's note: running on the Funimation Channel now)

Evangeleon

Eureka 7 (last I saw, wasn't AS still running this in the early AM? Also OnDemand - we don't get AS OnDemand on FIOS, but as of last month it was on Comcast)

Gigantor
Kakurenbo
Kikaider

Lupin the 3rd (lj1958's note: Funimation did at least some of these, right? They're showing ads for several of the films on Funimation channel)

Metropolis
Paranoia Agent

Reign (lj1958's note: long gone, I think)

Super Milk Chan (lj1958's note: AS should have never wasted their $$, IMO)

Trigun
Witch Hunter Robin
Wolf’s Rain
S-cry-ed

Well, I hope that some channel shows the last four again.

Eureka 7 (last I saw, wasn't AS still running this in the early AM? Also OnDemand - we don't get AS OnDemand on FIOS, but as of last month it was on Comcast)

The last ep of Eureka 7 aired on Feb 28 and then they showed ep 1 on Feb 29. So its now gone from Adult Swim lineup.

Lupin the 3rd (lj1958's note: Funimation did at least some of these, right? They're showing ads for several of the films on Funimation channel)

Funimation has the rights to the movies. Geneon Entertainment USA had the rights to Lupin the 3rd Part II tv series, which is what Adult Swim aired 52 eps of it.

Reign (lj1958's note: long gone, I think)

Your guess is good as mine. I thought the tv rights for this series end a long time ago for Adult Swim also. But some networks will put out a long contract for the tv airing rights. Fox did with Escaflowne, after the series was drop from the Fox lineup, they still had the rights to tv airing rights untill 2006. Since then, Bandai has been looking to find a new tv network to air it on.

Trigun, Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf’s Rain, S-cry-ed

Well, I hope that some channel shows the last four again.

It will be sometime before we may see Trigun back on the air. Since s. Geneon Entertainment USA has the rights to Trigun.

I think that is the reason why Adult Swim drop it. I wonder if they didn't or couldn't get another contract sign with Geneon Entertainment Japan. Right now, I think people better watch SC all they can on Adult Swim, because if Geneon Entertainment Japan hasn't work out a deal to release the anime titles they over here again. when the tv airing right contract ends for Adult Swim, we may not see it on tv again for some time.

As for WHR, Wolf's Rain and S-cry-ed. They did poorly in ratings on Adult Swim and is the reason why they are not renew. They only way these three could make it back to tv is, if Bandai does a deal with the Sci Fi Channel.

There is no lost on Funimation's part on their titles that didn't get renew. They can just put them on their channel.

Remember folks, Cartoon Network will play Howl's Moving Castle at 7:00 PM eastern time.

Here is some more info from an e-mail that I got last night about the licenses have or will expire or will not be renewed by Adult Swim.

The tv airing rights for Eureka's just expire this month.

The tv airing rights to Paranoia Agent and Samurai Champloo are going to expire this summer. Looks like PA will get one more run on Adult Swim Fix before the rights end this summer.

Trinity Blood tv airing rights expire this fall. So, I would guess that we will see one more run, before its gone.

Miyazaki's movies are always top-notch. Its always like theres a perfect combination of adventure and warmness in his films. And although I saw Howl's Moving Castle on dvd before, I still watched it again tonight because its just a great movie. And Its always fun to re-watch his movies.

I think that I was wrong about Princess Mononoke will air at 7:30 pm on CN, March the 25th. I went back to check the tv listings for Cartoon Network and its gone from the listings. It was listed about a week ago, so I guess the only Miyazaki's movie that will air this month on CN was Howl's Moving Castle.

About the Sci Fi Channel viewers' choice voting for March 31, it looks like Ghost in the Shell (1996 movie) won and will air 11 pm to 1 am on that day. I'm going to keep tabs on this, if this changes and I will post if there is any changes.

Also,
Street Fighter II: the movie will air April 28th at 11 pm on Sci Fi Channel.

Bleach is sure killing the competition by your ratings which is more than I can say for Death Note. Why couldn't Light just write the names of the other shows on AS for saturday nights in his Death Note when he had the chance? But I'll still be faithful to Death Note though.

Alright I can say for now that I do not like Bakugan. If I offend anyone that like the show then I am sorry, but it seems like its a cheap rip-off from Duel Masters and
Yu-Gi-Oh. Oh well, at least now I'll have to time to do other things...

I found myself thinking two things with "Bakugan".

1. Doesn't the main character sound A LOT like Vic Mignona? (It wasn't. I checked the credits and Wiki--no dice.)

2. What's that smell? Smells like cheap plastic, AA Batteries, and french fries...that's it! The newest toy fad that'll eventually find it's way to a major burger chain and be exploited beyond belief!

You forgot one thing--remember those "lifesize" Pokeballs Burger King had that they did a recall on becuase kids were covering their mouths with half of them, causing suffocation?

Really? I swallowed one and Im still fine(Just kidding.). Do you remember all those different kinds of pokemon toys back in the 90s at BK(The very first pokemon toys at BK.). I thought the light-up ones were the coolest. But nowadays toys just aren't the same.

And I still have all my pokemon cards from my childhood, I just can't give them up. Because like once you took like a while and some money to buy them its just too hard to part with them. Oh Zapados, my first rare card.

It took me a min to remember I said anything about that and here it is.

http://www.christiananime.net/showpost.php?p=1203577&postcount=3

So right now, Bakugan has replace One Piece and I'm guess that Blue Dragon will take over DBZ slot, but I'm not sure if its going to Toonami or not.

Also, Adult Swim has the tv rights to the 26 ep series called Sierie no Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit.

Edit: A change in plans for Blue Dragon. It looks like it will air at 10:00 pm and Samurai Jack will air at 10:30 pm tonight. I will check on this and report back ASAP.

Actually Roy, early on today around noon, they showed a sneakpeak of Blue Dragon as well. I saw like the last 5-10 minutes. I looks a little better than Bakugan, but not too much. But I will watch out of curiousity.

Yeah, I know. I didn't the message that they ran it early today untill it was too late and I knew that there was no point in posting that one, when it already aired anyway.

But they are going to air it again tomorrow at 10:30 pm.

Samurai Jack was on today! Ah, that brought back good memories. I wish we could classify it as an anime, but its not. Or is it? I don't know anymore because I do see Japanese people in the credits, but it was probably made in America.

Well, it was rescued. But it was rescued right after Geneon USA closed up.

Its still going to before some time before any Geneon titles get rescued, since FUN, ADV and others are in a major bidding war over the top Geneon USA titles.

But I'm glad that this one was pick up early and now it will air on tv.

It is. I kept an eye out for the series, when it first hit Japan. Kenji Kamiyama, is the director for this anime and he is the one that directed Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. as well.

Balsa looks somewhat like Motoko Kusanagi.
