Ah, they are true. FG and FR has always been in the 9,000 to 1,000,000 range.

Comedy has always out done anime.

Did you mean RC? Or is there some other show that starts with FR?

Its always been this way, anime has always been underappreciated. Oh well.

If you ask me, Saturday nights are really horrible nights for ANYTHINg on on TV... no one wants to stay in their homes to watch tv when they could be out partying and doing other things.

If they moved the Comedy block to Saturday I am sure they would see similar numbers... or at least numbers that aren't as high.

Meant Futurama, when AS still had it , sorry about that.

The lowest ratings that Futurama got, from what I remember was 350,000 to 400,000 range. I could be wrong but I know they never had a rating lower then 300,000.

If you ask me, Saturday nights are really horrible nights for ANYTHINg on on TV... no one wants to stay in their homes to watch tv when they could be out partying and doing other things.

This is true in a way, since you have some factors

A lot of people go out on Sat nights on dates or just for fun.

In the Fall, you have college football games on and it has been showed that that takes away from Adult Swim ratings.

Plus don't forget that you have baseball and basketball on some Sat nights and they end late and well, that takes away from ratings in the Spring and NASCAR races in the Summer in they are in on a Sat night that hurts too.

but,

If they moved the Comedy block to Saturday I am sure they would see similar numbers... or at least numbers that aren't as high.

This part is a yes and no. Its true the ratings for Comedy on Saturday night were not high as anime, but they never got this low ratings like anime does. I think it was like high 300,000 range was the lowest for comedy on Saturday night, but we will see things go in Feb and see which has the higher ratings. I will watch out of them and see what happens.

If this is so then I would say it is time to quit watching AS altogether and simply buy the DVDs.

Well at least we will still be seeing new anime episodes. It would be horrible if one day AS said that they would no longer be showing anime.

But yeah, I think the reason they show anime on saturday( going along with what you guys have said ) rather than on some other night is that they want to show it on the night that will damage the ratings the least. I know its horrible to think anime does that, oh well. And also putting it later in the schedule so that they can get high ratings earlier on then later in the morning, you remember the Boondocks getting high ratings at 3:30am don't you?! Anyways, I don't really mind it coming on later anyway.

True, its better, but that great.

Anyway, I know that I haven't posted the rest of the lines for other channels. I just wondering if there is a point to it, since Fuse doesn't show any anime on and AZN Channel is going to shutdown in April.

The only other channel airing anime is IFC and Start network channels.

Forgot to post this, but Shin-chan got the boot from Tue-Fri 12:30 am time slot.

Also, this Sunday on Cartoon Network will be the pemiere ep of Bakugan anime at 9:00 pm.

Another note: anime on Sci Fi Channel will go back to the Monday lineup only. There will not be any anime on Tuesday night in March.

I was wondering...with Blood+ ending soon...Adult Swim hasn't announced anything new as far as anime, have they? Bebop is good, but they've run it like hundreds of times.

As far as anime viewing on TV, we just switched from Comcast to Verizon FIOS, and we have one new channel and two new OnDemand services that show anime.

Adult Swim has pick up the TV rights to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion series and was to air this spring. What part of Spring they are talking about is another matter.

As for Cowboy Bebop, Adult Swim will keep showing it untill they get bad ratings, just like FLCL is airs from time to time.

It would be awesome if CN aired ALL of Miyazaki's works. Well maybe I'd save Pom Pom Pokko for AS. But at least we get some Miyazaki. Although not my favorite Miyazki movie, Princess Mononoke is pretty good. To be truthful Im quite suprised that CN aired it in the past because of the blood. Remember it was rated TV-14, so it is odd to find a show or movie higher than PG on CN(Not including AS because AS is the block that shows strictly PG and up shows and movies. With the exception when they showed Pee-Wee's Playhouse, of course.).

Well, TCM aired a month of Miyazaki a few years back and Pom Pom Pokko was one of them as well as PM, SA and others. This is the only reason why they showed them on Cartoon Network, as SA has been on Cartoon Network after the TCM run.

Yeah, some people are making this a bid deal about Princess Mononoke airing on CN, when they arleady have aired it before.

I think that we know something, when Adult Swim has their Upfront in April on the plans for any new anime.

A list was put out for licenses have or will expire or will not be renewed by Adult Swim.

Yes, I did watch the month of Miyazaki way back a few years ago, but I wish they could do it again. I really did like seeing them, but I wasn't able to see them all though. So I just wish that TCM could do that again, but I doubt that they will.

I can't believe they aren't renewing Lupin III, oh well easy come easy go. Although it hasn't been on recently I do remember back when they did air it at like 1:30 am. At that time I was in junior high so I still find it odd that I did that, I also did this along with the airings of Inuyasha.

Who knows, they may air some of them again.

As for Lupin III, they tried to bring it back last year and it failed. Tell you the truth, I'm shock that Astro Boy is still on for that matter.
