You know, I'm not quite sure...I think it was the limited edition, because some of the ones on display didn't have it.

I swear, anime DVD's are becoming like old-school cereal boxes!

How far is the English dub? I'm only on 12

Edit: Now I'm on 15 but the beginning was so funny. But since it'll probably be a spoiler... VOILA!
Misa came up to Light and L and L introduced himeself as Hideki Ryuuga. And Misa was like Hideki Ryuuga? That's not the name that I saw (She was thinking that) Then Light steps in and he says yeah just like the pop star. Then L starts to laugh. And Light is like oh crap! does he know? and then L stops laughing, pauses. Then he says "Wow Light-kun I'm jealous, having Misa as your girlfriend!"

Next one:
All the people crowded around Misa Misa. Then she said OH MY GOSH SOMEONE TOUCH MY BUTT!!!!!!!!!! The she turned around and L was behind her. So he charged around in front of her, and then he said "I will catch this criminal at once!!!!" Then someone else said "I wanna touch it too!!!!"
Hmm, before somewhere (I can't remember where maybe it was Newtype but,) had mentioned that Death Note dvd volumes were coming out EACH month. Im not sure where I heard it from, but it sure ticks me off. Maybe they meant like the first 3 volumes would come out each month. I mean I have no problems waiting for them, I just dislike it when Im fed false information. It doesn't really matter anyway, its always on AS.

Misa sure is one creepy girl. She's so willing to help Light, and she doesn't care how much he manipulates her.

(Adult Swim Video no longer allows international viewing.)

( ::sigh:: )

(And I'm actually liking the dub, too... Guess I'll just have to go for the box set next time I'm in the States.)

Honey! I think I'm going to kill L!

While for Ryuk its like a comedy!

And for Rem its like a horror story considering....
She has to kill L because Light proposed a good argument about doing what Misa would want so she could be happy. In other words Rem has to do> what will make Misa happy> is doing what will make Light happy> which is killing L . So we can conclude that Rem has to > kill L otherwise if she didn't then that would make Misa unhappy which Rem does not want. But I haven't read the manga, so Im not for sure on anything.
Adult Swim censors the crap out of the anime and plays their own R rated material with no edits and wonder why Anime fans don't watch anime there? What a Joke. I watched all of Death note over the course of 3 days. The end made me feel empty... I knew (half of) what was coming, but it still made me feel empty.
That's what happens when the main character is the villain, I suppose.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

They don't censor anime anymore, the only time they may edit is some really bad words and that is it. So stop your ranting, when this thread is about Death Note on Adult Swim.

Actually, as I understand it, Adult Swim doesn't censor their anime; not anymore, at least.

Also, if you had a problem with Light being a villain (not a spoiler XD), never read Shakespeare's Macbeth. XD

Death note is actually a clean story, visual and language content wise, and I saw no difference between the manga and the episodes on adult swim.

I would think that the only possible reason they would edit a show is to allow for more commercial breaks, not because of content.

Well, actually, I haven't watched any anime on Adult Swim for a long time, so I was unaware they'd changed their policies, but someone said they showed Futurama instead of new Death Note episodes, someone else said that's because anime doesn't get good ratings on AS, I commented on why I thought that was, so please reserve your rude retort for another time as I wasn't directing this at any person here, and it was relevant. I actually didn't mind most of the censoring on the anime, what bugged me was the hypocrisy. If they've eliminated that, then I apologize for basing this off old information.

They took Death Note off for two weeks around Christmas time to show Futurama eps, because it was leaving Adult Swim after the first of the year. That was the only time they did it.

You want to know why anime doesn't do well. Because of leaches that download anime that are license here or already put out on dvd. Yet, they want to do the lazy way and download it and not try to rent it or wait for the dvd's come out. I think its funny that people want to support a buddy of mine, Vic Mignogna in this outreach, but the same time if those people download anime that is license here and that money doesn't make it to the company. Which in turn the company will not hire voice actors and then they will not get paid. So, in a way, then someone like Vic doesn't get paid and he can't take some of his money and fund it to his outreach.

so please reserve your rude retort for another time as I wasn't directing this at any person here, and it was relevant.

Woah, there. I was rude? How many times have you been rude to others at this board, after your little rants? Maybe someone needs to learn now to be more civil with posts and not go in a crazy rant or make your posts look like you are looking down on others.

Why... I stopped Watching Adult Swim for multiple reasons, but I'm basing this on my experience with them. Why would I need to go back and watch them on a regular basis again before I can make a comment based on a pattern I observed when I did watch them regularly. I mean, I don't have to read a National Geographic now to know they often feature pictures of native tribes and such, do I?

As for my earlier comments, I don't think I was being uncivil or anything, but I don't like "baseless accusations" being made about me, either (probably a bit more important than "baseless accusations" being made about a TV network, methinks). I should have taken it to PM, though, and I apologize.

There are so many things wrong with post, but Steve said to knock it off, so dropped.

Moving right along.

Wow, dead for a month. :o

Anyway, seeing as the songs for episode twenty are new, would that signify the start of the second season or something? I don't have much to say about this episode, except that Japanese screaming = win. Does anyone know who the opening and closing songs are by?
