It's the Sixty Billion Double Dollar man!

Postby Godly Paladin » Mon Dec 17, 2007 11:08 am

So I was at Barnes and Noble the other day, trying to buy some Christmas presents (I struck out), but when I got into my car and turned on the engine I was surprised to see a truck sitting across from me with the license plate of "VASH".

Here in Jefferson City, MO the anime contingent is, uh, not very prominent. It's there, but there are no clubs, etcetera, so seeing a vanity plate like that is pretty rare. So I grabbed a picture, drove off, and forgot about it.

A few days later, my sister calls me from Hobby Lobby where she works and says "Nick, you'll never believe it. Vash just walked in. He's got the red trenchcoat and everything."

The Humanoid Typhoon posed for a picture. Looks like he's got the red duster down and a decent pair of glasses; his hair needs a bit 'o work but heck, it's a WIP and I don't see this every day around town so I'm content.

Fun.

Good fun, that.

I have a friend here at work from India, whose first name is Vash. It's a for-real Hindi given name, apparently. I've ribbed him about it before, but the poor guy has no idea what I'm talking about.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

I dunno, he looks like he's keeping pretty warm. For all we know that could be his only winter coat. Might as well have some fun in the cold.

OMG! Vash is buying...Black cloth?

Who knew he had another side to him. And yes, it looks like it's just an overcoat for him.

My guess is he's still working on the costume and just couldn't bear to take out the straight pins long enough to throw on a different jacket. :D

Maybe he's making a shirt for Wolfwood for Christmas?:thumb:

Alternately, maybe he really is Vash the Stampede, and he's just got a different haircut.

Heh, so my sister says that when asked to pose for a picture he said, "Well, this is just my every-day coat; my real one's out in the truck."

Sweeeeet.

You have GOT to be kidding me! Though, he does look like the real deal. I'm really diggin' that scarf!

By any chance, did he mention why the heck was he in a Hobby Lobby? Making a sweater for Kureneko???

Vash...is from Trigun, right?

I know this is a stupid question, but is it a good series? (Not sure if I should read/watch it)

Yeah, it's good. PG-13, assuredly, but the anime is solid. I hear the manga is better, but I don't do manga.
