Light's too OTT to be a good villian. At least the way Brad Swaile plays him.

And here I thought we were discussing villains we liked.

The major antagonist of Full Metal Alchemist MANGA

Also from FMA, the seventh Homunculus to be revealed

I read up through Chapter 77 in FMA, so do you mean
Wrath, Father, or Scar? And the seventh homunculus is Pride, right? That kid is creepy.

Father is generally considered the true antagonist; Scar is more of an antihero and Wrath is a subordinate. And yes, the last homunculus is Pride.
For a long time, Vicious was one of my favorite villain for Cowboy Bebop.

But Vincent Volaju take that spot away from after seeing Cowboy Bebop the movie.

Ginias Sahalin from Gundam 08th MS team. This guy was evil and crazy at the same time. Here are a few reasons why I put him on the list.
He killed all of the people that work on the top-secret mobile armor and then tried to kill his sister, without even blinking an eye.
I think he's more of an anti-hero...either way, he's still one of my favorite characters (yeah, I can't pick between Sonic and Shadow...I like both!)

In terms of villains, I don't really have any favorites as I think it's not really healthy to have a favorite villain. However, I like James from Pokemon, even though Jessie is the evil one in their Team Rocket group. Most of the time, he just kind of follows along, but he's not really the heartless one; if you watch the episode "Sweet Baby James," you'll see what I mean.

Yeah, Vincent is awesome. He's not even bothered about ruling the world, he just wants to wipe everyone out. He also knows "if you want something done right, do it yourself" and doesn't mess about too much with subordinates.

Well, considering the nature of Gundam, I don't know if these really count as "villains", but I really like some of the Zeons; namely, Ramba Ral and Garma Zabi. And if Zeons do count as villains, then one of my favorite "bad guys" of all time is Bernie from War in the Pocket. XD

I also like Pizza from Yuushaou GaoGaiGar, for spoilery reasons:
Pizza later becomes Soldat J and isn't necessarily villainous once that happens, but he's definitely very cool. I like the whole "reformed villain" bit. Also, he has an awesome giant mecha.
Ooh, and I like Prince Diamond/Demando/whatever you want to call him from Sailor Moon R.

As for non-anime, there's always Darth Vader. Also, The Operative from Serenity.

My favourite non-anime villain would be Col. William Tavington played by Jason Isaacs (yes I had to go look this up, isn't Wikipedia fantastic ) the chief villain from the movie The Patriot. He might also be my all-time favourite villain, but extensive research is still underway.
