'Lucky Star'?

I know I'm looking online and I can't find much...I'd love to see Lucky Star pins (is a big pin collector waiting to buy her first anime pins...those are different than buttons, people).

Of course, though, if they released it on DVD, I'd most likely be watching just the subtitled version. I'm too used to it by now.

Not to rain on anybody's parade or anything, but there are two things from the show that nobody's mentioned yet. ^^;

Konata's underclassmen, Hiyori Tamura, is a yaoi/yuri fangirl.

Absolutely nothing is shown in the series, so don't worry about that, but there is a running gag of her daydreaming about her friends. To put it simply, she'll watch them interact nicely (and normally) and then will have some sparkly shoujo fantasy of them talking all dramatic and meaningful to each other like they're possibly in love.

Again, no kissing or anything happens in these scenes, so don't worry. I think maybe a hug, but it still looks more friendshipy than romantic, so it's easy to ignore. She also curses herself for thinking of her friends that way, and I believe everyone else kind of pokes fun at her or gets creeped out, so...ya. XD It's not exactly something they're all going nuts over.

There was however one fantasy in particular that really got extreme IMO. No kissing, not even any hugging if I remember right, but it was basically the subject.

[spoiler]The two girls she daydreams about at Yukata and Minami. Since Minami is very self-conscious about her chest, Hiyori has some weird fantasy where Yukata volunteers to rub her chest to make it bigger.[/spoiler]
Before anything happens it cuts off, it's more just Yukata acting all embarrassed while asking Minami, but...*shudders* I skipped over that one. Otherwise the others were really easy to ignore.

Then lastly, it's incredibly minor, but Konata's dad is a perv. Not only does he allow Konata to play the H games, but he also makes some shady comments about how he likes how she looks so much like her mom.

Don't worry, Konata herself even calls him weird and tells him not to say that (as does someone else very close to him, don't wanna spoil and say who), but I thought I should bring this up. Really you don't hear him mention H games at all, I think it's brought up twice how he knows about it or she took his games, but that's all it really amounts to. He's not one of those anime pervs that tries to spy on girls or anything, he's actually quite decent and fatherly.

My favorite parody reference in this series was that series of scenes mocking Initial D. I nearly laughed my head off on those.

Initial D references just keep popping up. It seems to be a favorite series to poke fun at. More often than not it's the appearance of a 'panda hachi-roku' with something written on the door, drifting around a convenient curve.

My two favorite ID appearances are in "Umisho" (in which the swim team is running in such a panic down the road they are seen outrunning an 86 as it drifts around the corner), and in "Great Magical Gap" (Dai Mahou Touge) that cannot be described, it simply must be seen.
