Blu Ray anime - a real upgrade?

The real heart of CAA; discuss specific series, issues, and things related to anime here.

That sounds to me more like an anti-PS3 rant than anti-Blu-ray. Blu-ray goes way beyond just the PS3.
Embraced by a gentle breeze, my heart breaks as I think of you.

As of now, I don't have access to an HDTV, but when I do I'll test out an anime... there are at least a few on bluray, not to mention that the US and Canada region for bluray is the same as the region for Japan, so there is no issue with imports. I'll tell everyone what it looks like when I do that.

As for Gamergirl, I had a very long post here, but I remembered... I shouldn't be arguing with you, and my post wasn't relevant to this thread, much as yours aren't, so I erased my argument... Please just stop trolling this thread. Seriously...

You obviously have little to no understanding of how large corporations such as Sony operate. Blu-Ray's success or failure and the PS3's success or failure are almost entirely unrelated.

If the PS3 fails, Blu-Ray will continue to exist. If Blu-Ray fails, the PS3 will continue to exist. Financially speaking, the various branches of Sony are relatively independent, and Blu-Ray and the PS3 are products from different branches. The failures of one will not affect the other in any way shape or form.

If you want to make a point, do so with serious research on both sides of your chosen debate and choose your words with care. Concise and clear writing is important for getting people to take you seriously.

Finally, if your goal here is simply to bash Sony, take it elsewhere.

Another HDDVD advantage: no region codes. That is awesome. Seriously.
