Granted, but before the election there's a military coup and control of the nation is given over to Pentagon super computers.

I wish powdered doughnuts had their own anime

Granted. Now all the anime conventions that had planned to do it just have an empty void in their schedules. The resulting riots by bored otaku result in massive security crackdowns, transforming cons as we know them into totalitarian police states.

I wish I could write and draw good, profesional quality manga at speeds of a page a minute.

Granted. As a result, Michael Scott is now President of the United States, Dwight Schrute is Prime Minister of Canada, Ryan Howard is President of Mexico, and political turmoil is rampant.

I wish I owned a Space Shuttle

Granted, though they're been recast and rewritten with little regard for the continuity or tone of their previous series.

I wish my hairdryer was made out of cheese.

Granted. Your cat is now a Great White Shark... which you are not allergic to.

I wish someone made an epic, masterpiece, three-film movie adaptation of Bone by Jeff Smith.

Granted it stars Tiffany Grant as Bone and is done by ADV,unfortunately
because of it people mistake it for one of the Neon Genesis Evangelion
movies.

I wish that there were more animes with red haired girls of partial
German descent in them.

Granted. Unfortunately, they are all pornographic series starring squid-people, and doing such things that even the Japanese are weirded out. (No small feat, that)

I wish that I could grow a working 12" evangelion in my sink.

Granted. You can now drink "Coffeee," the almost but not quite food substitute drink made out of ground up coffee filters and mud. Enjoy!

I wish Lupin actually aged.

Granted, but it's a show about a dirty pair of underpants. Have fun watching them try to clean the worst-stained underpants they can find. The rest of us will be watching something that doesn't suck.

I wish that I could go to Kinkos and have them copy three-dimensional objects for $0.35 apiece.

Granted, you get channel 10 in digital. Unfortunately, whatever that was in your area, it's now the drying paint channel, where you get to watch a freshly painted wall dry. You don't, of course, get to see the painting of it.

I wish that cheese could talk.

Granted. Then again, Cheese - the annoying character in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - could already talk (sort of), so it's pretty much a wasted wish.

I wish the song "Classical Gas" was the national anthem of a prominent nation.

Granted. The national anthem of the United States of America is now the classic sound of people passing gas.

I wish that somebody would create a curry pizza.

Granted. They won't sell it, share the recipe, or let anyone else taste, but they did invent it.

I wish cowboy hats would become popular household pets.

Granted. Unfortunately, you laid yourself off in anticipation of a merger with ADV that fell through at the last minute.

I wish life was an endless parade of candy and rainbows.

Granted, your life is an endless parade of you being attacked by bloodthirsty confectioners and gay rights activists.

I wish that the statue of Liberty would, once every five years, step off her pedestal and do a bit of a dance, and then return to her pedestal and be a statue again for another five years.

Ganted. Now all of New York live in fear of the inevitable day that the giant metal woman will rampage through the city streets in her dance of death.

I wish I could see that on TV.

Granted! The dancing Statue of Liberty smashes through your roof and steps on your TV. Oh no, look out, she's about to step on you, too! Run, dummy!

I wish you weren't a dummy.
