I expected as much, but hopefully it allows for time to add more stuff and polish the game.

Yep; they mentioned it in today's update. I thought Sakurai's words were interesting: "The problem is Sonic. What to do... I suppose if we’re going to all this trouble, perhaps we should make him playable." I hope so, because we're going to have to unlock everyone else as it is!

I also thought that the "screenshot" mode added to regular brawls was a great idea...I, as well as many other people I'm sure, have been frustrated by the fact that something funny happens during a real match and there's nothing you could do to get a picture, except maybe with a real camera, but that's a hit or miss. With this, it could be anytime. And you can save more screenshots than before. Also, if people wanted to, they might be able to somehow send screenshots directly to Nintendo or NintendoPower for contests or just to say, "Ha ha, look what happened to Bowser!" or whatever.

I think you should be able to record whole matches and then be able to export them to computer. Imagine the machinima . . .

Gamespot.com has some video, including Sonic's final smash. It's awesome.

The guy in the video says that Sonic is really fast and hard to control, so those who have played as Fox and Falco in Melee will have an easier time controlling him.

Amen to that...it took them long enough to put him in...i only it were coming out on the Cube.....now all I have to do is save up for Wii and get this game and the other two sonic games availible only on this system...that and the mario and sonic at the Olympics game.....why couldn't we have games like these on the cube?....

Somehow, I doubt it. They said that they would only be bringing in 2 characters owned by 3rd parties... maximum. They probably wanna spread it around a bit.

me and a bunch of buddies were talking about brawl last night, and someone posed a great question.... why isnt megaman in the game???

As long as you realize that the possibilities, at this point, are somewhat slim, I don't see anything wrong with dreaming. :B Though I admit, I'm curious -- to what extent does the introduction of third party characters dilute the Smash concept of only having Nintendo characters? Though I'm not necessarily opposed to Snake and Sonic in the game, somehow their presence makes it feel less like Smash to me.

Uh...because Megaman is the property of Capcom, which means Nintendo cannot use the character without their permission. Three points:

1. Sakurai said two or three third party characters, at most. We already have Sonic and Snake; these may be all the third party characters we get. Alternatively, assuming there are three third party characters, there may yet be another character they wanted in more.

2. Nintendo may have asked, and Capcom may have said no. They would be fools to say no, in my mind, but they may have a valid reason if they did.

3. The game isn't out yet, and we don't know if Megaman is in it or not. He might be and they just haven't revealed it yet. Ultimately we won't know until the site says so, or until we have the game in our hands.

Let's not put aside that they may opt for more 3rd party characters. Just because they only plan for 2-3 doesn't mean they couldn't end up with 4-5. That said, I doubt you'll see multiple 3rd party characters from the same series regardless.

In my mind, Megaman would be one of the more likely third-party characters. Someone from Castlevania would be another possibility.

At any rate, I'm going to guess that there will be at least four more characters(new or returning) announced given that Melee had 26.

Also, Megaman has already appeared in numerous fighting games to begin with, so adding him in Brawl might not really feel like a major update in comparison to Snake or Sonic.

So it looks like Meowth's in a Pokeball. Uh-huh. Yeah.

What much can be said about this Pokemon? Well, nothing much in my mind, that's for sure. Except that he uses payday, but if you go to the update site, it's easy to see that.

He's Jack Thompson, a lawyer, and every gamer's most hated enemy.

At least, he used to be. The saga of Jack Thompson is long and bizarre. He used to be hated by gamers, but now, he's seen as more of a form of comic relief. He's ridiculously inept, and is currently undergoing disciplinary action, which will (hopefully) result in his disbarment in November. He also is one of those joyous people that claims the name of Christ, yet insults everyone he talks to and shows no signs of love in his heart. Despite his passing a psychiatric examination TWICE, it is believed he suffers from NPD.

What much can be said about this Pokemon? Well, nothing much in my mind, that's for sure. Except that he uses payday, but if you go to the update site, it's easy to see that.

It can be said his English voice was awesome until the new dubbing company took over, and uh...Pay Day never really gave enough coins to make it worth my while. XD

Melee recieved a T as well, for "comic mischief" and "mild violence."

Frankly, one sees more comic mischief and mild violence in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. =/
