What does Kirby look like when he sucks up Jiggly Puff?

He looks rather fat, to be honest.

In other news, it indeed looks like the only way to use Zero-suit Samus is to have Samus use her final smash, which destroys her power suit. Seems that this will lead to some interesting decision-making and payoff, since it looks like you can't go back to being Samus after your suit is destroyed.

I know I'm gonna get flack for this.

I am well aware that both Link and Zelda are based of their most recent Twilight Princess incarnations (and that if Ganondorf is brought back, the same is plausible for him); but I still really think Zelda should, and will, have Shiek as a second playable form. Ocarina is still the penultimate of the Zelda series in the eyes of many (next to Link to the Past), and somehow if you're going to entertain the idea of Zero-Suit Samus, it makes since to have other alternate characters as well. Shiek was originally a secret character, I believe; and since Nintendo's being upfront about Samus' alternate form, why not just keep it?

But it shouldn't be, because this is immense fun. Especially if you can spit them out at the bottom and float back up to the level.

No one I play with uses Jigglypuff, so I'm not certain: but what power does Kirby get upon absorbing one? I don't think it's the song, but if it's the hit that essentially makes him like Jigglypuff but with his B+direction moves.

After absorbing Jigglypuff, Kirby gets the Rollout move, a charged rolling dash. I believe Yoshi has a similar attack.

No, I agree with you. In fact, I think more players should have alternate forms. Earlier in the thread, I argued that Link should have another form, like his Fierce Diety form, or his Wolf form.

I also think [at least as a costume, if not as a seperate form] that there should be a "Twilight Princess" version of Zelda where she's wearing her robes and hood.

... And I think it would be cool if Pit turned into an eggplant... (Kudo's to those who played the game and know what I mean)

Oh, quite and indeed. I've found that that's easiest on the Battlefield stage. Just edge-lurk on the side and suck in anyone who gets close to you. Then drop off, and they almost always pop out just far enough down so that they can't get back up, but you can :]

I think Kirby sprouts the little Jigglypuff curly hair thing + ears when he absorbs it? :O

And why would you get flack for that, Fish? I agree entirely.

Jigglypuff is teh awesome...

My winning team on Pokemon Blue and Red was all Wigglytuffs... They're programmable and pretty strong... Perfect combination.

A fare share of "SSBB ZELDA ARE BASED OFF TWILIGHT PRINCESS, NO SHEIK THAR" people I've had to deal with. Not necessarily here, just in general.

I just realized something.

If Caption Falcon returns, which he more then likely will, he'll have a final smash too.

If it isn't this I will be most unhappy.

Also, I would agree with the alternative choices for characters. It's my dream to play as Fierce Deity Link, although I'm afraid it won't be happening in this game...

There's no way you could walk away from that. Not if you wish to leave the level intact.

Okay, he would be underpowered a bit. Just like how Kirby can't fly and how Mewtwo didn't have boss like powers as a playable character.

In his final smash, he would just obliterate everyone while taking damage possibly? Either way, it HAS to be in the game.

I think it's an attempt by Nintendo to add some form of storyline or plot. Remember, SSBB is a fighting game, so, going on precedent, you shouldn't be able to make sense of the story. ^_~

In SSB, the characters were all dolls. In SSBM, the characters were all trophies. It appears that the characters are all trophies in SSBB, too.

Perhaps this new character is one of the Master Hand's minions.

I thought the story made sense. A kid is playing with his action figures and they openly rebel, blowing up one of the kid's hands. Then, many years later, the kid overcomes his psychological paranoia of colorful figures and opens up the toy chest again to play with them. -And, of course, they end up blowing up his other hand.

So, it's oblivious, the kid is bending the rules of his own imaginary fighting world and seeking revenge, because he was forever crippled for just wanting to play with his toys. ;)

Fierce Deity Link would be fun, though it would feel underpowered. Has Link's final smash been revealed? I'm curious as to what it would be, as the series doesn't have anything all that cataclysmic.

Hm, I'm mildly surprised to learn such a crowd exists. Ocarina of Time is pretty popular.

Woooooow.

This is probably going to be the best update until the game is released. I personally feel that there is going to be a little more story in the game this time. But I won't put my hopes up too much for something REALLY deep. But it's very fascinating either way.

Not in particularly large numbers, but enough that suggesting the idea will get your written off. "Are you stupid? She's based off the Twilight Princess Zelda."

Well... she is.

Maybe Shiek should return as an unlockable character. I don't think Nintendo would bring her back as a transformation for Zelda this time...

Actually, if Zelda had been shown using a sword I might agree with this mentality. However, since she is not I'm going to assume that she is some sort of bizarre mix of the many different Zeldas that have been in the various games.

I hope that they do keep the transformation mechanic, regardless. I'd like to see them hone the mechanic so that more people will want to actively switch between the characters as the fight moves.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

I think that's simply because some players don't know that Zelda can actually be useful in some cases. While I do generally use Sheik, I do find myself transforming back and forth a lot of times.

Hmm, at this point I would say that it's up in the air whether there will even be transformations at all. It seems that Zero-suit Samus is more of a... progression than a true transformation. If they include Sheik at all, it's more likely that [she] will be a separate character than a transformation.

Link's final smash is where the triforce comes out of his hand and traps an enemy. Then he hacks at them with his sword a few times.

Yeah, despite it being based on Donkey Kong (Jungle Beat, non the less), it is very nice to see a stage that is more than just a big platform and two supporting ones.

Oh dear... I can't say that I much care for scrolling stages, but the Donkey Kong stage still looks fun, and as Link said, it's nice to see a stage with more than 3 platforms.

I'm glad to see Yoshi, too. He's fun to play as. Gotta love turning people into eggs ^_~

It will be intresting to see how Yoshi will utilize that third jump of his.

It seems to me they are releasing a new character per week so I am guessing we will get a veteran character. I am hoping either for Peach, Ness, Vaptain Falcon.
