Are there more Californians or Texans? When I first joined, I think I was the only one...wait no...(what up, Milly Fan?)...and this place was just filled with Texans...but recently, there have been a lot of new Californians...(what up, old phil, shooraij, eire?) and then somewhere in the middle of that St. Peter signed up (what up?) and if I missed anyone, my bad, i just don't even know... which leads me to my poll...and if there are any other states/countries that are just dominating the boards like Shaquille O'Neal, let me know... Oh yeah and uh, vote on the poll above if you're a Californian or a Texan...

With the collective Mainer presence around here, I wouldn't say that.

Now, of those Californians, how many are So.Cal? I know StPete is, and Erenan, and Milly (and myself). oldphil and Eire are N.Cal, but they're coming down to visit me the weekend of the 19-20th and see my famous tourist attraction, the $50 Wal-Mart Special Server Rack.

Maybe we should have a California-Christian-Anime-Con in the near future, nee?

Only four of us Canadians (Kenzo, Kirika, myself and the girl from Vancouver whose name totally escapes me just now).
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I'm a Texan as well. Sometimes I wish the summers were cooler here however.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that most Americans live in those states, but they do have the highest population count as of the year 2000
California has over 33 million people
Texas has over 20 million people
but
New York comes in next with over 18 million people
and then
Florida with over 15 million people.

Those are the top four cities ranking in population.

When California's and Texas's populations are combined they only make up roughly 19%. Correct my if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure that is right.

I can thank the U.S. Census Bureau for some of this information. ;)

We (the UK) have a population of 60 million. So there should be more British CAA members than those who came from Texas and California combined!

Or maybe there are more Americans with internet connections, or more americans into anime or something...

Well, you know how it is...everything is bigger in Texas even their anime base.

And Y'all don't forget...the souths gonna do it again!

Actually, I was born in Burbank, California and lived in Southern California for the first 13 years of my life in Simi Valley. And I lived in Texas for four years while in seminary. Personally, I don't know where I'm from...but at least I know where I'm bound for.

Hey, don't knock Idaho. It's the potato state, after all.
Mmmmm...potatoes...

And don't forget Illinois. It would've been next on that state population list if you'd kept going, andyroo. It has over 12 million people (mostly in or around Chicago). I'm not sure if we have many other Illinoisans in the CAA, I haven't been around here long enough to know.
