If there could be only one...

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

If there could be only one...

Okay, if you were limited to only one game system and it's library, which one would it be? Note: at the discretion of the poll master, I have left the current gen off the poll for several reasons, the biggest being they don't have enough of their own titles to prove themselves worthy of exclusivity. Yes, there is backwards computability and online arcades and virtual consoles, but the systems themselves still need to be proven.
Personally, I'm torn between the GBA, SNES, PS2, and my precious 'Cube. The first three have the hugest libraries imaginable, although there are gaps in each. GBA and SNES lack very many high quality 2D fighters, and the PS2 is missing the Nintendo franchises.
So, what say you?

Edit: Ok, I hit the wrong button and didn't get the poll in. The options for the poll are the NES, Sega Genesis, SNES, GBA, PS2, GameCube, XBox, PSP and DS. If any mods can adjust this error, I would appreciate it

God can do anything, anytime, anyway He wants to.......if He wants to paint me blue and hang me upside down nekkid from an apple tree, thats alright, as long as it's God doing it. Of course, if He comes through with a directive like that, I might have to ask for some I.D. Michael Wanke

Poll added. :thumb:

I'd probably go with the Nintendo DS, but the PS2 is a close second. They have a lot of games with the highest replay value for me.

PS2.
It's the only one I ever use and own anyways.

(I have a GBA, but I don't use it often.)

I'm Old school, so I went with the SNES...

Also because I have "Super Mario All-Stars" so that's like 4-5 games in one cart! Can't beat that!

that's exactly what i would do. too bad that PC isn't in the options list. thus, i'd probably pick DS because of it's portability and the wide selection of available games for the system.

My PSP... With the crapload of things it does, and as often as I'm in transit (train mostly) and waiting places, this thing is a movie player, internet browser (crappy one, but smaller and cheaper than a laptop), game player, and ebook reader... It's pretty much everything I want it to be. It even has Metal Gear and Final Fantasy Tactics, not to mention NES and SNES emulators...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

Thanks Link. I didn't include the PC just because I wanted to focus on consoles, where a choice is usually made, whereas the majority of people have a PC of some sort.

The DS is versatile, portable, has decent graphics, and looks pretty darn cool.

'nuff said.

i like 'em, but they're both highly overrated. i mean, once you get all the extra stuff, it can get pretty boring because the AI is pathetic...
