Movies that would make great Video Games

Postby ilikegir33 » Mon May 14, 2007 1:53 pm

This thread was bound to happen.

Spinning off this thread http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=42359 I ask this question: What movies would make great games?

I think that The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly would make a great video game. Also Forrest Gump.

Memento. You'd have to play the entire game backwards.

Hm this Is a tough one... most hit movies DO become games, BUT most aren't too great and flop (at least amongst critics, but kids like them).

Hmmm not too sure really, at least off the top of my head^^

I do believe the question was quite the reverse; it asks what movies would make good video games, rather than what games would make good movies.

That said, I think Equilibrium would be an awesome video game.

I second Napoleon.

Riding around on your bike searching for tots, going off sweet jumps, having a DDR imitation, ect.

That would make one flippin' sweet video game.

Escape from NY/ LA.

Though apperently there was some plan to make Snake Plissken a video game charactor, it fell through, like the anime that supposedly Production IG was going to do.

Oh yea, how about Cold Mountain, idk, just throwing out ideas here...

Fritz Lang's silent movie classic Metropolis might be a game designer's dream project given it's insane artistic design possibilities.

Yes...and the game could have a secret level/mini game in which you get to play through the original ending...the infamous pie fight seen...even if the game wasn't good, I'd buy it if it included something like that just so I could I play as Dr. Strangelove and hit s in the face with President Muffley with a pie in the face...

Another movie I would like to see turned into a game would be Boondock Saints...I think it would make a nice Hitman/GTA clone...

They did. Look up "Solid Snake". XD Plissken was a major if not the main influence for Kojima's most famous character.

Night At The Museum would also be a good game. Playing fetch with a T-Rex? That would be awesome.

Actually, the latest installment of Splinter Cell, Conviction, is based on the concept of the Bourne movies.

The Bourne movies aren't about sneaking into Embassies, Submarines, ect and knocking out guards and hiding them in the shadows.

It's about running away from the people after you and blending into society.
That's what Conviction will be feature as well as Assassin's Creed.
