This is vague

Postby Fantasy Dreamer » Tue May 08, 2007 8:20 pm

A friend of mine told me about an anime that sounded interesting, but I forgot the name, and can't contact said friend until sometime in June because I don't know what her schedule for this month is going to be. Anyway, this probably won't help any (actually, it'll probably make it worse), but she said it was about four guys who worked in a flower shop, but it was only a cover for their real jobs. They were, mercenaries or something, but I can't remember what they actually did, either.

Does anyone know what it could be? I'll recognize the name if and when I see it, so just start naming stuff that sounds similar to what little I discribed!

Thanks in advance!

Google is your friend. The series is called Weiss Kruez and here is the synopsis for the show:
These four men, Omi Tsukiyono, Ken Hidaka, Yohji Kudoh, and Aya Fujimiya, are a group of assassins called "Weiss." They cover their operations by working at a flower shop during the day and the basement is their hideout. This is no ordinary group: they kill the murderers, big businessmen, and other assassins that the law cannot touch. Each one is fighting for their own reasons, whether it is revenge or to help a loved one. But they soon realize that there are connections between some of their cases and try to find out what is really going on. They use whatever they can to complete their missions and kill the people that are targeted by Weiss's leader.

Hope that helps!

That's definitely Weiss Kruez.

...I don't know if I'd recommend it, though. :lol: The animation was horrid and the plot was vapid and mind numbing. But at least the boys were pretty?

The English release was known as Knight Hunters even though Weiß Kreuz is German for "White Cross." Whatever. XD;;

At any rate, I haven't heard a single good thing about this series. Pretty much everyone I know who's seen it says it's terrible. Take that as you will.

Wasn't it only made to promote some Japanese boy band or something? I thought I'd heard that somewhere.

Yes, this is Weiss Kruz (Knight Hunters: Weiss Kruz in U.S.) and btw they're assassins.

If by 'boy band' you mean group of seiyuus (comprised of Koyasu Takehito, Miki Shinichiro, Tomokazu Seki, and Hiro Yuuki), then yes, that's my understanding.

I only know this because my best friend was a die hard Weiss fan when we met. I am surprised I didn't punch her in the face.

I didn't say I was going to watch it, I just couldn't remember the name of it and it was driving me crazy :sweat:

Thanks guys. That is what she told me about. I don't recall her saying anything good or bad about it. I haven't seen it (obviously) but what I've read doesn't sound too bad. Maybe in the future I'll check it out just to say I've seen it and be able to develop an opinion of my own on it.

Thanks a lot! You're all so helpful! What would I do without my fellow CAA members?

I didn't like the original Knight Hunters...I enjoyed the sequels, though.
