I'm not sure why I didn't like this game. I want to say newer games have turned me off to old school type RPGs, but I don't think that's it. It's just...bland. I dunno. The Job System is boring, the characters admittedly have more personality than in the original NES version, but that doesn't stop them from being uninteresting.
It just doesn't "feel" like a Final Fantasy game. I'm not sure why. I love Final Fantasy, but this particular one is just really lousy. A huge disappointment considering I followed this game since I heard about it, constantly scoured for screenshots and release info, and preordered it the second our local game store allowed me to do so.
But if you're enjoying it, more power to ya.

Having to trek through two dungeons and SIX boss fights without a save point is just too insane. And the final boss is, seriously, one of the hardest bosses EVER!
sooooo true it wouldent be so bad if there was a health and mana resaply right befor the last boss but noooo there isn'tAzier the Swordsman wrote:Well, it WAS originally an NES game. And everybody knows NES game designers were sadistic demons back then.
