Deadline: July 25, 2007
Rules:
- The mascot MUST be an original design -- for copyright reasons, we cannot allow anything from another anime/manga/game series
- The mascot MUST be a full-color, inked design submitted in .jpg or .gif format
- I would prefer animals (they're cuter) but humans are okay, too
- Feel free to PM me with any other questions

Full of color? You bet I'm colorful!!! Everything about me is colorful, even my vomit makes Monet's paintings look monochrome.
And that's right, animals are cute. Humans are okay, I suppose... OK for grinding down and using as pavement! The male Humans anyway, the females are OK for being my admirers and go-go dancers. RWWWWWOOOOOOWR!

This sounds like fun. XD I'm generally inexperienced when it comes to drawing animals, so mine will be the human entry, probably (or I'll take on the tarantula idea. XD But no, I'm mostly arachnophobic. XD). XDD If I can think something up, though, I'm definitely in on this!

I was wondering...would it be bad if we drew like a group of mascot friends? Or do we really just want ONE mascot?
EDIT: I take it we are supposed to post them here? If not let me know and I will remove it..
here is my first idea! His name is Mighty Lamb. He is a super hero that I made up when I was 14, but I sort of abandoned the poor guy once I got into anime and stuff. He has a partner too, her name is Super dove, but she isn't as fun to draw XD. They also have a friend named Billy, he is a Goat, but he sort of is their operator...^^;
ANYWAYS, I feel Mighty Lamb can represent many things for CAA.
1. Of course he is a Lamb so he kinda represents Christ.
2. He also represents us, as Lambs of God... ^^;
3. He is a very postivie Character and likes to lift up the oppressed, (he IS a super hero)
4. He is an animal...
I really look forward to MORE Submissions everyone!! This is going to be a fun contest to be involved in!! I think I am gonna have a try on this one. However, I do not want a money price. I just want to repay a bit of what this site has given me.

Must all mascots designs be reigned to merely being cute? I mean, whatever happened to cool moscots? Shipped out to sea, probably; sold off to foreign importers.
I'm not saying the two are mutually exclusive, but I'd like to see a little dash of both. And yes, I realize that I am A) not a judge in this contest, B) only one man, C) not representative of the whole demographic, D) projecting, and E) highly opinionated.

personally, from what I've found- I am more attracted to cute mascots. Although- that is probably because I'm a girl and
I have some obsession with cute things- but still, I think that some would be more attracted to cuteness than coolness.
Scientifically speaking, "New studies suggest that cute images stimulate the same pleasure centers of the brain aroused by pleasure, a good meal or psychoactive drugs like cocaine."
