My big fat Inuyasha question

I'm just now starting to watch Inuyasha. I was curious as to what all the fuss was about. But some time ago, I stumbled onto this Anti-Kikyo Site. And, it listed a lot of reasonable reasons why she isn't a good character. Now, I don't want to pass any harsh judgement on her. From what I've seen so far, the pre-death Kikyo seemed decent. (Though I wished her poor little sis had safety goggles, but I digress.) Is Kikyo really that bad?

Watch on, gentle LandmineLuv, and you will surely understand the controversy. Whether or not you end up liking the character is wholy up to you.

Well, if you go through door A, you can listen to the rabid InuyashaxKagome fangirls and hate Kikyo. Or you can go through door B and listen to the rabid InuyashaxKikyo fangirls and hate Kagome. OR you can go through door C and formulate your own opinion on both girls. I reccommend door C.

I, personally, don't like Kikyo, but I had to formulate that opinion on my own.

Remember, no good will EVER come out of listening to rabid fangirls.

Alternatively, Inuyasha could be a real playa and have both, but he would have to be murdered by the ravenous hordes of fangirls from both camps. So that's not really a suggestion to be uttered in charged company.

For me, Kikyo's just annoying :/ Those site COULD just be Kagome fangirls that support that coupling. I don't know something about her attitude in her new life just... annoys me :/ I actually quite liked her before she died, during that 1-hr special (oh well, 40ish minutes without commercials), where it showed the story of when her and Inuyasha were together, back in the past. Now, she just has a horrible grudge that annoys me :/ It's like: "See? See? That's what REALLY happened to you! No one to be mad at cept Naraku!" "...I think I'll just go mope around for a few years with my shinigami...yes..."

Personally, I feel sorry for Kikyo. I see where both camps are coming from (Kagome-haters and Kikyo-haters), because Kagome has moments where she can be a whiney little crybaby, and Kikyo has moments where she's a cold, heartless b*tch. Personally, I think Kagome is the best match for InuYasha, but I can see how people would think Kikyo would be better for him.

Kikyou is too bent on revenge for my liking. Her attitude tends to be rather haughty, and I find it difficult to favor someone who feeds on souls!

Kikyo just doesn't get why Kagome risked her very life to save hers (Kikyo's). I saw that episode in my hotel room while in San Diego, and I wanted to throw my shoe at her head.

Yeah... I just get characters that I dislike so much that I try flailing my foot around to try and get them (even though they are on the screen, and even then, don't exist :/) Like last night when Peter Parker went all emo/evil ARG!!
