Yeah, I feel what you're saying, but ponder this my Kitsune Sister in Christ...

Would you rather an anime end on a really great note, or would you rather an anime go on and on for about, oh let's say 167 episodes with an ending that leaves you with more questions than answers about the title character and the lead female role? XD well know, but it's a bittersweet thing... I mean ideally it would be great if an anime coul dlast as long as the Simpsons or something like that, and still remain fresh and good...unfortunately, I have never seen an anime over 60 or so... that was good... =_=) (I am still watching Naruto and Bleach so I will reserve judgement on these series until they are over.

Inuyasha, (Which, I am sure you are talking about) is one of those animes, where it was entertaining, but after awhile it just got old, and easy to make fun of.. XD.

i cant wait until the last episode of Eureka! im just happy that
anemone and dominic got togather.
also i would have to agree on the whole inuyasha thing. i wish they could have ended it better than the way they left all the questions...even if its continued in the manga.

I was just thinking that if they've been showing 1 new episode every single week since it premiered, that it has taken a little over a year to get where we are now. Mind-blowing, really...

Actually the Inuyasha ending was one of the best ever that I have seen. There are plenty of animes that end the same way and no-one gripes endlessly about them.
For example Silent Mobius ended with the AMP going into one final battle, and
Gatekeepers 21 ends with Miu and Ayane off to fight the Invaders one more time.
And let's not forget about Geneshaft.Geneshaft ends with the creation of a new world but we do not get to see what happens next.So the fact is that when Inuyasha ended it was just following a long tradition.

Back to the proper discussion(and I think if people want to gripe about the Inuyasha ending they should start a separate thread:WHY I HATE THE INUYASHA
ENDING:5,000 GRIPES FROM DISSATISFIED 'FANS'):
Next week is the finale with episode 50.
Also the DVDs cost only $22.48 each so you can get them now and watch the entire series on your DVD player. There's 6 volumes.

To be perfectly frank, has it occurred to you that the reason nobody complains about the endings to Genshaft, Gatekeepers 21, or Silent Mobius is that very few people care much about those series at all in the first place?

Hold it, RM! I liked all those series!
And CK, you forgot MAR. That's over 60 (Way over!) and very good to watch.

See also Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and DragonBall Z. :P

Anyway, I'm going to miss Eureka Seven...now we won't have any good arguements about the similarities between it and FLCL! (That was a good debate, though!)

Oh, if Inu Yasha has taught us anything, it's that otaku arguments have NO expiration date!

Here's another little little touch at the end of the previous episode that really got me. Renton said "to be continued" alone this time. Heavens no! Can it really be? :sniffle:

You know, I kinda noticed that, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Or, more logically, I probably forgot all about it when I saw the preview for the final episode!

You know, you're right! AS has been pretty consistant with Eureka Seven. For the last 50 weeks, they've aired one new episode with NO reruns or repeats throughout the week. Sure, there was that stupid April Fools prank early this month, but I think, for once, AS should be applauded for being consistant with this series and not overexposing it like they did with another anime I will not mention here. ::coughs:: Yasha! ::coughs::

What's even more mind blowing is the fact that this thread was in hibernation and came back one YEAR to the month of it's creation...freaky.

OH YEAH!! I heard that!! and he sounded so sad too!! O_O

Really...now I'll just have to rewatch the episode ALL OVER AGAIN!

That was hillarious! Everything was going so wrong for him that day--his favorite lifting "shop" closed, he was embarassed by the girls at school, he got into a fight (and I'm thinking he got expelled, though I'm not sure.), and to top it all off, he lost his favorite lifting spot! He basically summed up the entire first 1/4 of the show with those two words!

I personally have two memorable quote from Renton]

Renton wrote:"She's so considerate enough to burn...burn...BURN!?!?"

My second most memorable quote came right after Renton discovered Eureka sprouted the wings. The two of them are sitting on a sand dune with the kids playing off in the distance, and Eureka is talking about how they helped her take care of him. Renton suddenly asks:

Renton, Again wrote:
"Can I feel 'em?"

First thought that went through my head: "Whoa...Renton is REALLY getting along with Eureka!" I was hooked on that quote for weeks!

Charles saying "This is what you Daddy smells like" sort of burned itself into my memory... not in a good way, though.

Ooooook....moving on!

I was watching episode 14 on DVD, and I suddenly realized that we forgot about a tragically overlooked couple that is worth mentioning...Moondoggie and Gidget! I find it interesting that nobody talks alot about this couple...ESPECIALLY after this episode!!

Refresh my memory. What happens in episode 14?
That's the episode when they land the Gecko in the cave. The incident I'm talking about is when Hap sends Doggie and Gidget off ALONE to look for food. Cut to Renton wondering around looking for everyone, and we see Doggie-niisan and Gidget sitting on a table in each other's arms! She whispers something in his ear, and the scene cuts again...

Fastforward to a few minutes later in the episode, when Hap is asking everyone if they found any food. When he gets to Doggie-niisan, we see him sitting up on the table WITH NO SHIRT ON and Gidget laying next to him, though not in plain sight...:wow!:

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

Oh yeah...

I kind of figured they put things between each other on back burner with the whole "end of the universe" thing looming and stuff. I'd imagine that makes it a little hard to keep the passion alive and everything.

Yes. It's a VAST improvement.

But seriously, I'm sure those two just have more two think about than being all lovey dovey at the moment. Now Holland and Talho, THEY have a little more to keep their relationship on the front of their minds...

That would be really intesting to see what kind of kid these two would produce. I'm not really getting my hopes up for seeing him or her in the last episode, though. I've been doing a bit of advance researching, and I haven't found any information on the new kid.

Does anyone else think that Talho and Holland are just like Spike and Faye from Bebop? I get that aura from them both...

I wouldn't have until Talho got her hair cut... which is odd, since that's when she stopped DRESSING like Faye.

I see what you mean though. Now we can debate FLCL/Cowboy Bebop comparisons!!!!!

Ah well...at least we have 90% closure. Better than another anime that I won't mention here that features a barefooted half breed demon. :eyeroll:

As long as this episode delivers what it promised in the preview. I'm going to be breaking speed limits to get home Saturday night, so they BETTER deliver!
