Norma Jean- O God, the Aftermath (Deluxe Edition)
Becoming the Archetype- Terminate Damnation
And I'm buying Copeland-In Motion tomorrow.
Tom Dincht wrote:Hm....I like Becoming the Archetype's album the most out of those three.
EDIT: I got The Chariot DVD without expecting it.
Tom Dincht wrote:I also got a Norma Jean DVD that came with the "O God, the Aftermath" Deluxe Edition.
I just listened to The Fiancee in its entirety.
It's alright, but I prefer listening to more organized (as in not chaotic) music at home (Becoming the Archetype) and seeing chaotic, raw stuff live (The Chariot).
So I find "Terminate Damnation" highly superior to "The Fiancee", but I love them both.

Kkun wrote:You guys...Of Montreal might be the most fun band ever. They have some bad language, but oh my gosh, it's.............noise pop.
Kkun wrote:I think it's fair to compare them. BTA is...........eh, metalcore. The Chariot is dischordant and insane and a beautiful tapestry of raw noise that I find very, very intellectually intruiging....and I think The Chariot wins. Scogin is a master showman.
Ichigo_89 wrote:not "metalcore" anymore my friend. More like progressive deathmetal mixed with some black metal style now. Even the old I wouldn't consider metalcore. It's a mix of alot of metal subgenres
Kkun wrote:Long-winded genre names and self-indulgent guitar solos do not impress me.
The Chariot is still the far superior band.

I call what the Chariot does Raw Metalcore.
BTA's album could be considered Deathcore and their second, Progressive Death Metal.
I like BTA's album more than The Fiancee, but I can easily image The Chariot being far superior live.
They got a record deal?!
