Fave anime weapon

Postby chikin_d00d89 » Fri Mar 23, 2007 10:08 pm

This might seem slightly hilter-kilter/non-kosher, but I had to ask sooner or later-

What's YOUR favorite weapon that was used in an anime?

My pick- the Walther P99 from NOIR. Pierce Brosnan may have brought the handgun to our attention in TOMORROW NEVER DIES, but Mireille made the 9mm/.40 S&W pistol cool in every sense of the word.

I liked Ichigo from Bleach's first sword. I dislike the second one. The third one is pretty cool, though.

THROWING KNIVES! xD

In all seriousness, Henrietta's Fabrique Nationale P90 from Gunslinger Girl is probably my favorite.

Rabi's size-shifting hammer in D.Gray-man. Yay hammarz.

I'm also rather fond of Loki's staff in Matantei Loki Ragnarok.

The Beam Swords in Gundam SEED rock.
So does some of the weapons that Sousuke uses in FMP, especially the Glock 24. (That's why I bought The Anime Mission, LOL)

What about dual Para-Ordnance 14-45 pistols- one in a black matte finish, the other w/ a stainless steel finish, both having walnut handgrips- both being wielded by the son of Sparda, Dante?

I agree with Mirielle's gun,I also like Kirika's though I don't know what model or type it is.
I also like Inuyasha's Testsaiga,Kagome's Sacred Arrows,Sango's huge boomerrang
from Inuyasha, but Miroku has to have the coolest weapon of all on that show with his Wind Tunnel.
Temarie's Fan on Naruto is also pretty cool.

I second the P90. So incredibly cool. And watching Henrietta fire off the thing is the best combination of incredibly cute and incredibly deadly I have ever seen.

I think that Kirika's weapon was a Beretta M1951 9mm Parabellum (9x19mm), but from what I read on Wikipedia (can I even trust them w/ info like this!?!?!?!?), they say that Kirika's handgun of choice was the Beretta M1937 9mm short (9x17mm). Either way, she's packing a decent, if aged, weapon.

Pfffffffft. Oh Dae-Su's Hammer beats the SNOT out of a golf-club. He yanks all the teeth out of a guy, THEN beats up a room full of people.

Although Oldboy isn't an anime, the original story is a Manga. xD

Technically Ideon would beat all. But there's no fun in a weapon that destroys the entire universe, including one's self...

So, I'd have to go with Batou's "Standard Issue Big Gun" or Togusa's Mateba Autorevolver from GiTs
It takes bad jokes to appreciate the good ones.

I second Rabi's hammer, Wolfwood's Cross Punisher, Henrietta's P90, Togusa's Autorevolver, and the TITANIUM HEAD DRIVER!

In addition, I'll add "Sword Hunter" Cho's Renbatou and Kamatari's "death scythe" [much as Kamatari creeps me the heck out] from Rurouni Kenshin, Maes Hughes' [Fullmetal Alchemist] push knives, Sousuke Sagara[Full Metal Panic!]'s SPAS-12, Kisuke Urahara [Bleach]'s Benihime, and Master Asia [Mobile Fighter G Gundam]'s scarf. Seriously. The scene where he rips a mobile suit's head off with Domon's headband? Awesome.

I'm rather fond of Tiki Mick's flesh-eating butterflies. Do they count as a weapon?

Also: even though this isn't anime:

This is the coolest weapon ever

I have to agree with the scythe. It was pretty darn cool. :thumb:

While it can't really compare as a weapon to Kamatari's death-scythe, no mention of anime scythes can really be complete without giving a nod to...

Oh, and while I've only just now played the first PS2 game, it seems like there ought to be some seriously awesome weaponry in Nightow's _Gungrave_ anime, too. Grave's coffin ought to beat the Crosspunisher. Except, of course, that Wolfwood's cross is heavy because it's so full of mercy... {g}

(Speaking of, any recommendations for the Gungrave anime?)

Well, come on. Rico has her Dragunov SVD! Not to mention Angelica with her Steyr AUG.

But even so, the Fabrique Nationale p90 is a beautiful, beautiful gun.

Ichigos zangetsu is my choise of weapon. (well not for my usage, but when talking about coolnes.) I thought it would be more popular O.o

Other shinigami swords are also top-noches. Like Rukias, Ikkakus and captain Kuchikis..... I really like swords..They are so beutiful.

I feel i have to mention Kenshins reversed blade sword.
