Proxy switching

Postby Warrior4Christ » Fri Mar 02, 2007 9:13 pm

I'm a new user to wireless networking, and I use a wireless network at home as well as at university. When at home it automatically connects to the network without any interaction, and you can use the internet straight away. However, at university, I connect through a VPN client, and then have to setup up programs to go through the proxy server there. So this usually involves changing settings individually for each program (sometimes not, in the case of Firefox). But the main program that is the issue is Opera (my default browser).
So is there an easier way to switch between two sets of proxy settings than going through the settings windows each time? Surely this would be a common issue...

In Opera, press F12. You can enable and disable proxy use from the convenience menu.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

Ah, thanks. That's much more convenient. If I come across any other programs, I'll ask about them...
