Mine is InuYasha. Not sure what portion of the series it's from, I got it off of http://www.animechains.net. Favorite series ever!

Who?:
Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin from Ouran High School Host Club.

Why?:
Because I really love that series. Its funny, entertaining, and has a plot to it (though it seems the manga would have more of a plot [just like Furuba]). Plus, it reminds me so much of Fruits Basket (which I already love and adore) I couldn't help but love it! ;)

Mine is the main character from The Animatrix short called "Matriculated". I don't particularly care much for that one, but I like the art and I love most of the Animatrix.

Mine is Seto Kaiba from the 1st Yugioh anime series, when the animators decided to get drunk and screw up all the colors ^^. His hair is brown in the manga. The quote is from an episode of the youtube parody show "Yugioh: the Abridged Version".

My avatar is L from Death Note. Why? Because L is one of my favorite characters. He's a weird, silly, yet [snip to avoid more pointless drama] brilliant.
Or at least he WAS, until the mangaka had him killed and replaced with two dorks. : : shakes fist : :
Outta curiousity what's your guy's opinions on the "gender relation" between your avatar and yourself? I just always found it weird you refer to someone based on their avatars as a girl or -chan(as it does happen in anime-boards) and they turn out to be a guy, especially when its some 60yr old dude living with his mom in the basement with some 12yr'ol moe girl as his avatar...

*shudders* crrreepy....... :shake:

Good question. Though I think it's safe to say that there are only a few people in the world who might still live with mom in her retirement home and watch moe anime.

Thankfully on boards like this, you can tell right away how old and what gender the person is if it's displayed publicly (such as the male/female symbol above the avatar). It's when they don't specify that information is when we have to settle on a "Pat" answer and assume the person is the avy's gender. Even then, there's still this curiosity to find out if that assumption is correct until it slips in one of the person's postings.

And by that time you'll either feel relieved or shocked.

Mine is Asuka Tsukishiro, one of the main characters in the 90's kids-n-mecha anime "Raijin-oh". Read the review here if you want to find out more about the show.

Don't knock Near. He's no L, but few people can extrapolate on the end of the world while building an impenetrable Lego fortress.

And on a related note, I hate the new Death Note opening theme.

Which is why I rarely refer to people based upon their avatars. :D

In all the years I've been on CAA, my avatar has been female a grand total of once (Rosette Christopher from Chrno Crusade) - it isn't really important to me, I guess, because I see someone's avatar being a stand in, rather than the person themselves. In regards to my avatar and my gender not matching - eh, I'm a Debitt cosplayer anyway, so I do look a little bit like him...XD;

EDIT: Oh Ryan, those words up there....them be fightin' words.

Psh. They are both awesome. I mean
Mello left clues for his enemies to find on purpose. Not only does he want to win, he wants to obliterate the competition, and make sure that they know it. Plus, who wants to be emotionless about everything?

Although.... I'll never understand how one person can eat so much chocolate. Wouldn't you get tired of it at some point?
If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. Mine is of Tres Iques, or III X, from Trinity Blood. Though an android, there is part of his brain that is human. He is therefore ideal for carrying out orders, but still retains enough humanity to make an ethical decision.

My avatar is Hatoko Kobayashi of Angelic Layer. She has a pretty big following as one of the champions of Angelic Layer (the game), considering the fact that she's only five years old.

I usually switch between two avatars, my current one from Great Teacher Onizuka and the other from Hajime no Ippo (fighting spirit).

I picked both because they are both two of my favorite series. Ippo is a boxing/sport related series that is both series but has a humorious aspect.
GTO is just an all around good series.
