Flow

Postby Bobtheduck » Thu Feb 22, 2007 8:59 pm

I know that there aren't many on CAA that have PS3, but for those that are, is anyone planning on getting flow on the playstation network?

This game has gotten great reviews everywhere I've looked. It's the first game to show some sort of competition for XBLA. Considering the fans of electroplankton, there is one review that said "Someone took electroplankton and made it an actual game."

Anyone interested in this?

EDIT: Update: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=21506

That's cool... Sony's downloadable games are starting to look really interesting... Except the rumor that Warhawk is download only... Boo! Downloading 3 gig+ files is NOT FUN...

By flow, do you mean this?

It's a pretty cool game. However, I'd much rather just play it in a browser for free. Unless the PS3 download version has something special that I don't know about.... Any word on exclusive stuff?

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

Upgraded visuals, more levels, better controls, more understandable.

that's like saying "I wont' buy the game because I can play the demo..."

If that was the case, why would anyone play full games they have to buy? http://ps3.ign.com/articles/765/765822p1.html check that out to see the changes... It's quite extensive... Like, as in, the games are only similar, not the same...

EDIT: If it were nothing else, the multiplayer is a big upgrade.

Yeah well I meant the ps3 itself. I mean if I had one (And enjoyed the original Flow) I would consider buying this new version. But as of now I've never played Flow nor have any intention of touching a ps3.

...

You know, I could come in to the threads for all the 360 games and say the exact same thing... But I don't. Why is that? Because that's a little on the trolling side, that's why. I'm saying this for people who allready have a PS3. Not by any means saying someone is gonna buy a PS3 for this game. So just... just shut up, ok, and stop watching all my PS3 posts to make these kind of comments... Here, on my livejournal, it's getting really annoying...

I actually have a dreamcast... Too bad the thing doesn't work longer than 15 minutes anymore... *sigh* And my favorite game on it, Armada, is dead...

The point is, this isn't a "is the PS3 teh betterz" thread, this is a thread about this game... Flow isn't a buying point for the system by any means, and to use this thread to repeat the same thing he's said 150 times about not wanting a PS3 is immature... That's not what this thread was about. I may be in the minority on these threads for actually being interested in the PS3, but that doesn't mean my threads can get hijacked like that. It's just not right.

Having played the original Flow a good bit I'd like to see this new version in action. Have you actually gotten to play this new version Bob?

I don't remember MSP ever saying he didn't want a PS3. He said something I could easily agree with: It's expensive.

Does that bear relevance to the game itself? Not really. He did gain one thing from coming in here and saying "If I had a PS3 and like Flow I'd buy it" is an extra post on his post count.

However, my opinion is almost identical.
If I had a PS3 I'd buy it.

The opinion is ALMOST identical because I do like the original Flow.

Hm...it appears that "Almost Identical" is an oxymoron? XD

So I really do want a PS3, but PSP comes first on my list.

"nor have any intention of touching a ps3."

Sounds like he doesn't want one to me, and he's said that before.

On another forum I go to, you can get banned for short posts like that, too... "It's too expensive"

And, no, I haven't played it yet. I'd like to. I hadn't even played the flash version until Ikimasu posted the link. I only have two friends with PS3s, and neither one of them are friends I hang out with on a regular basis... One's going back to Iraq soon (may already be there) so I won't be able to hang out with him, and the other is too interested in selling me games for me to suggest playing her system (she's like an avon agent for import games... no joke) Oh, and they don't even have the good version of Motorstorm on store displays, so i won't expect flOw to show up there...

So I really do want a PS3, but PSP comes first on my list.

Me too my friend... Good thing a friend just offered to get one for me for 60 bucks. How sweet is that? Cheaper than a DS. Yeah, buddy (though he could prolly get me a DS for 50 dollars) I guess a DS is what I'm going to ask my parents to get me for my B-day.

Bleh.
The DS doesn't interest me at all.

Wow, I just popped an MSP (No offence XD).

But yeah, you got a nice deal.

Dude, when I'm 24 my parents will not buy me anything for my birthday. XD

I had a choice between a drumset and a PSP and um....sorry dude, for me the choice was obvious.

Oh, I'm interested in a DS... Just moreso in a PSP... Portable ops, Crisis Core, and the Good version of FFT.

Are you kidding about birthday presents? I'll be getting birthday presents until I have children or until my parents die... If it's when I have kids, then my kids get the presents. My parents are gift buying machines... They still buy gifts for their grandchildren when they are my age, until they have their first child.
