I know exactly what you're talking about. I've already had several complaints about it, and I've even seen it in action myself. I did a very slight modification to the engine since then that will allow a workaround -- if you haven't already, go download WIP 3.0.1 and read the part in the manual's troubleshooting section about disabling the DirectDraw acceleration.
