Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel?

Postby Tommy » Sat Jan 06, 2007 11:14 am

Is this a game worth buying?

It's the only Fallout game I have access to, due to the fact PC games don't work that well for me.

I checked EB and GameStop and neither have any of the "Fallout" games in stock.

Should I try eBay or is it even worth it?

It got a 7.3 on gamespot.com

So I guess it's not worth it.

Yeah, I know what it got on GameSpot, which is why I made a thread HERE.
To hear YOUR opinions.
I've played games that I love on GameSpot that got low scores, and I've played games I hated that got high scores.

While professional, their opinion isn't absolute.

Gosh it's been years since I played that but I thought it was alright. It's not like any other Fallout game. It's all tactical squad based stuff. You basically maneuver a squad of oh 4 or 5 people or so around a 2D playing field. You outfit them with weapons and items and build up different skills creating tanks, along with medics, sharpshooters, etc. The only thing I remember that really annoyed me was how hard it was. Controlling your squad was a bit cumbersome on it's own in that you micromanaged everything but there were alot of enemies and they were hard to kill. That's all I can remember.

Yes, it's worth it, if you like squad-based tactical games. It doesn't have quite the same feel as the other Fallout games, but it's pretty good.

No, I'm pretty sure Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel for the PS2 is just an Action RPG.

There's one on the PC called "Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Tactics" which is a squad-based tactical game, but since you guys have played it and I haven't, I'm going to guess it's in reference to both.

Should I just get the original Fallout?

Ah, for the PS2? Dunno, then.
