What was the hardest character in Kingom Hearts II?

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

What was the hardest character in Kingom Hearts II?

Postby Star- Chan » Thu Jan 04, 2007 8:01 pm

I was just wonderin' who (and/or what) is the hardest (and/or easiest) character to defeat in Kingdom Hearts II? Just curious.
Mine are

Easy:
Axel, Xaldin, Saix, Xemnas, Xigbar, Sephiroth, and everything else

Hard:
Luxord, Demyx

I betchya noticed I moved Sephiroth in the "easy" list!
Remember! John 3:16!!;)

The only boss in the whole game I had trouble with is the guy that has the guitar and controls water. I remember the rest being extremely easy.

Well, Sephiroth was sorta hard, but like in the first, his difficulty level was exaggerated. He was only hard if you weren't at a high level.

Sephiroth was a bonus boss as he was in the first game.

Whichever one was the boss in Beast's Castle was rough...the guy who had the lances and stuff. He beat me twice.

None of the others I found difficult in the least.

And Tom is right, Sephiroth is easy if you've leveled up enough. I was 99 when I fought him and had no problems. If you're like, level 60, then yeah, he's probably hard.

Only Sephiroth and the Organization XIII member Nate mentions (with all the lances) ever made me concerned about my HP levels, so I suppose they qualify for my part.

Tom Dincht wrote:The only boss in the whole game I had trouble with is the guy that has the guitar and controls water.

I presume it was something about the technique of the battle then? Because that was the only Organization XIII member that I utterly crushed.

Yeah, the one KAEMMERITE mentioned. Goes to show ya that he could change his name to anything and we'd still call him that.

Yes, the technique to the regards that I would always lose that part where have to kill those 50 waterclones in 10 seconds. I would always have 1 left.

He wasn't hard, but that small part was. As for actual attacks, he was fairly easy.

I actually haven't encountered an enemy that's killed me, much less made me use cure or a potion more than once. XD; I'm only at the Pirates of the Caribbean world, so I'm sure there's more to come. I guess that if I had to choose one, though, it would be the Hydra from the Olympus Coliseum. That was a pretty tough battle, while I found Cerberus to be remarkably easier this time around. In fact, I'd say that KHI was a lot more difficult than its second installment (and yes, I have the difficulty level set to standard XD).

The only regular boss that gave me a lot of trouble was the one with the crossbows. It probably wouldn't have been that hard if I didn't have a backseat gamer telling me what he thought I should do. You know the part where he turns blue and shoots all those arrows at you from every direction? His idea was to block. Don't try it, you die.

Ah, I've forgotten one annoying thing: the match against the three dinosaur Heartless in the last Hades Cup. Not a boss or a character, but still a lot more difficult than most of the normal game.

Tom Dincht wrote:Yeah, the one KAEMMERITE mentioned. Goes to show ya that he could change his name to anything and we'd still call him that.

Heh. If it actually matters to him I guess I'll try to modify my posts accordingly. Sorry about that]The only regular boss that gave me a lot of trouble was the one with the crossbows. That battle certainly feels unfair, at the least. I didn't have trouble with it, but I could easily see how someone could.

Well, it's unfair if you don't realize that when all those arrows come flying at you if you merely run around in circles none of them will hit you. Unfortunately I didn't realize that until the next go 'round.

Oh, come on.

Squirrel, Dias....What's truly the difference? ;)

Anyways, I actually did think that the last form of Xemnas was little difficult...on Proud mode.

KHII was too easy compared to KHI. I can think of four of five bosses in KHI I was stuff on.

I meant it feels unfair because he's just shooting at you from afar and you can't do much about it.

Oh yeah. THAT fight. I didn't die in it, but I came extremely close. I'd have to say that fight is even harder than the lance guy in Beast's Castle...even though I died twice at him, he wasn't as hard as that one round. That was a nightmare.

I'd have to say that the ones I had the most trouble with were Xaldin (the lance guy), Xigbar (the crossbow guy), and Sephiroth.

Granted, I'm somewhere in between level 65 and 70 when I fight ol' Sephy...

I'm surprised to hear that people had trouble with Demyx and Luxord... they were both rather easy. Luxord especially... but with Demyx, the battle really weighed heavily upon the reaction commands. At least, that's how I found it to be.

I'm surprised people had trouble with Xigbar. o.o I beat him the first time I tried, I don't think I even had to cast a single cure spell.

The only thing I had trouble with was the part where the room goes dark and he goes all rapid fire on you.

Don't block.

Don't attempt to dodge roll... or anything of the sort.

Just run. Run in a circle and don't get hit.

I dunno why people say Xaldin is one of the hardest opponent!! He was an easy kill!
Oh, and you'll have to be on a higher level than 65 or 70...I tried, and died. But the time I got to the level 93...EASY AS PIE!! (except when he steals all of your HP and MP and only leaves one HP!!! Ya have to equip alot of potions and ethers for that)

Ah yes, Demyx...ONE OF THE HARDEST OPPONENTS EVER!!! People say he's easy...but I beat him at the 99,998th time!!:stressed:

His cheap juggle combo with his lances. My first try against him, he got me stuck in a corner and kept knocking me into the air so I couldn't heal. He almost did the same thing to me a second time. That's why he's one of the hardest.

That would be because level 93 is a bit high for that stage in the game. If I recall I was around half that level while fighting him, which means that he can do significantly more damage and takes longer to kill.

The guy with the guitar-like weapon. He took me a couple times, but that was only because I had a bad strategy and didn't know what I was doing^^ But really, easy compared to many bosses I've faced before. Honestly, I had A LOT more trouble with the bosses in the first game :/

The bosses in both games were easy for me. The only hard one for me in KH2 is Sephiroth and in KH1 it was the Phantom. Kurt Ziza and Seph are easy if you have a good strategy.

Sorry I'm a bit late but...

Xaldin... He was the hardest to beat. He was SOO HARD I almost died once. (And I'm even cheating to have max life (Life bar goes off the screen ^^ hehe)) In fact, I had to use 2 potions! The second hardest is Demyx, except he was very easy when I fought him. The thing that I know can happen that I didn't have to go through was the 10 second water pummeling thing. That's incredibly hard, but I didn't have to do it. These are out of the bosses I've fought so far. Sephiroth is incredibly hard, yes but I was planning to use Infinite health against him... -.- The problem is that that code is a dud and I can't use infinite life... I'm complaining to codebreaker.com right now...

Never played too deep into KHII, and most of the bosses I faced tended to be more fun than challenging (only reached the end of the first Caribbean run). Saw some other people playing later in the game, though, to which I have to say this:

Xaldin is an evil, evil man.

If you're using codes, you shouldn't be having a problem with those bosses. Is it possible that you're accidentally using a strategy that is getting you hit too much? Ridiculously high life + Cure should make you nigh-immortal.

I'm useing the same cheat disk. Kinda angry you can't use more than three codes but after enough saving and restarting I got it all in. and UC's right. A quick potion or cure spell is all you need to perminatly stay alive.

Back on track of the thread, I found Xaldin hard the first time around though after playing the game twenty times or so I've got it perfectly done. The only boss I have trouble with now is Twilight Thorn on Proud mode (and then I learned to keep killing Dusk's until I'm level six or so) and that possessed door in Beast's Castle (Again on Proud mode) after that everything was just way to easy. the Ground Shaker boss in the Pride Lands was annoying at first cause I didn't have the controls mastered.

Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced

Xehanort is the official spelling unless you mean his Nobody name (Xemnas). He was alright, though the sequence went on for too long in my opinion. I actually liked the throne part better than Zebra Mode.

Actually, if our criteria for "hardest" is simply the number of times I failed to do something right, then that battle qualifies because of the part where you're Riku. That irritated me quite a bit.
