Oh, and I also predict Honey and Clover will be licensed

Adding to that:

It will be licensed by Viz, both anime and manga, as part of the Shojo Beat line.

As much as I'd like for Honey and Clover to get its day in the American sun, I'm going to predict that it won't be licensed. Here are my 2 compelling reasons:

1) Honey and Clover is not shoujo manga/anime. This is a prevalent misconception. It is officially josei manga/anime. This is confirmed both by the anthology that it is cindicated in as well as the late night time slot it was aired during. This show is directly geared towards adult women (think 20-30ish). As far as anime goes, it slow, it's very relationship intense, and it appeals to a very slim demographic. In the USA, the adult female anime following is quite small when compared to the entire market. To license a show which appeals to that group would be a huge risk. In the aftermath of a year of excessive licensing and minimized profits, I don't think that anyone's going to want to take on the liability of licensing a wild card. No matter how brilliant that wild card may be.

2) As any Honey and Clover fan knows, Honey and Clover is LITTERED with insert songs by many very popular bands, such as Spitz. The licensing of Honey and Clover will require massive royalty fees paid out by the domestic licensor to these artists. This additional expense, in my opinion, obliterates the minimal chance H&C ever had of getting its chances on American retailer's shelves.

Edit: In light of the licensing of MoHS, I'm also going to predict that the award winning novels that the series is based on will also be brought to the states, following in the recent trend of anime based book translating.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

No, it's only the most popular anime that get imported, generally, it just doesn't and can't happen instantaneously. There are exceptional cases like The Big O where a show gets little notice in Japan and then becomes a big hit once it enters the US market, but those are -just- exceptions. For the most part, only the most popular and successful titles are licensed and imported. Would it make any sense for US companies to seek out anime that failed in Japan to import?

The Battle Royale remake will have a director and a script,
The original Battle Royale movie will still not be released in America

Best Beginning To A Review EVER: The fact that I watched this movie after eating poisonous mushrooms only went to enhance the realism

I think Honey and Clover will be licensed by Viz and as jon_jinn said, I think Monster anime will get licensed, but I don't know who.

The Honey and Clover thing is more, I found out something that shows that it will be licensed.

NATPE 2007 Conference & Exhibition

Scoll down and look for Honey and Clover. The NATPE conference is where some anime companies will show what licenses they got and try to get deals done to sell the tv rights at this conference.
