Edgar, dude! FRIGGIN' CHAINSAWZ!!!

Well, he's my favorite character when it comes to game play. My favorite tied characters overall are Shadow, Locke, and Sabin.

I'll add Shadow after finishing this post. Meanwhile, I suppose my favorite character was Edgar; for some reason I found myself liking him. But to be honest I didn't like many of the characters in that game. Celes and Locke are other characters I liked and Cyan wins points for his backstory.

I like Locke because I'm fond of his design, he has a likeable personality and he's loyal. Cyan is another one of my favorites. I didn't really find myself liking the characters that didn't have much depth to them (Gogo, Umaro, Mog, Gau).

Thanks for putting Shadow in. He was standing over my hand with one of those tiny knives ninjas use saying "You forgot me? And after I sacrificed myself for you on the Floating Continent?"
As for why I like Celes, it's because I was so struck by her strong nature. She was such a forceful character and I loved when she told Setzer what I think was her best line ever:
"Do you want to live in the world the way it is? No? Then do something about it!"

I say... INTERCEPTOR!! Oh, wait, he's not really playable, I guess... Hmm... Locke, then. He's the only one that's there from beginning to end, minus the first scene in Narche(sp?). He's a cool character, and... [spoiler=FF6]Well, his thing with Rachel reminds me of me, only instead of dying, the girl I pine for is marrying someone else. Just need to find my Celes. The reformed bad girl... Sounds good to me, though she wasn't really bad[/spoiler]

Interceptor is awesome; he's possibly the best benefit to having Shadow in your party.

Shadow and Celes are probably my favorite characters; since we can only vote once, mine goes to Shadow. I also like Cyan and Edgar fairly well--Cyan for his personality, Edgar because I like using his tools in battle (I actually dislike the ladies' man personality rather strongly).

I agree about Interceptor. I loved watching him tear up the bad guys. Too bad you couldn't make him do it. And I also thought it was so cute that
