Anime Driving Music

Postby KhakiBlueSocks » Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:44 pm

How many people listen to anime music while driving in their vehicles? I do every single day, and I tell you one thing...when you're driving down the street blasting "Cruel Angel Thesis" or "Wild Challenger" you're bound to get a few stares. Especially if you're a black dude with all your windows down...stupid air conditioning...

Anyway, does anyone else drive with anime music? And if you do, what do you drive to?

Um, I just listen to whatever I have on CD. Usually I don't like the softer songs when in the car though, so, stuff like the opening for Excel Saga and Rewrite.

There's 11 versions of it? @_@ I only have 2! The original and the one Megumi sings...

Heh amusing, cause I actually drove with my friend listening and singing along to Zankoku with her windows down and all^^ It was pretty fun. As for me, I still need to get my license >_< Only have my Learners (need a "New" to be able to drive by yourself). After this winter clears, I'm on it!

I have an mp3 cd with a bunch of anime songs on it. The one I really like to listen to when I'm driving is, of course, Driver's High from GTO. I also like to listen to Melissa from FMA and Hitori no Yoru from GTO...

...and then there's Shooting Star from Onegai Teacher. There's a lot of them.

i usually drive to inuyasha songs like "come" and "every heart" and a bunch of songs like that. i made another CD that had a bunch of different songs on it like Bleach, Final Fantasy, Sekai no ya kusoku (closing song to howls moving castle) and a bunch of other stuff but when i tried it in my car it wouldnt work. turned out i made an mp3 CD so i could only play it in my mp3 cd player. but i am going to try and get that fixed. so until then its inuyasha. lol

Anything that has something to do with Initial D. I also listen to that when I walk in the morning. Helps to keep the pace up. Otherwise, I have a number of CDs with anime theme songs on them and I'll pop them in if I'm by myself (my wife doesn't like listening to music set to the Japanese language).

I don't drive with anime music on, since I, you know, can't drive. But I have gotten a friend of mine into the habit. :3 Simple and Clean and Ready Steady Go = GOOD driving music.

I have 25 official OSTs in my car. I'm always driving to music.

Also, Doe Johnson, your avatar made me go out and buy Scrapped Princess. Pacifica is just too cute. Just finished volume 3 last night... @_@

Lessee...I like to drive to the Mai-Hime soundtrack, Hellsing soundtrack, Le Portrait de Petite Cossette soundtrack, and the Gankutsuou soundtrack.

Oh, and FF:AC and Cowboy Bebop.

I'd like the L/R soundtrack though...

God Knows... (The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya), Being (Shakugan no Shana), and No Boy, No Cry (Naruto) are all mainstays for any time I'm driving.

I love anime music. Why NOT listen to it when I'm driving?!

. . . and WHY hasn't anyone mentioned "Driver's High" by L'arc~en~ciel? Seriously. You'd think EVERYONE would listen to that while driving. ^_^

I do occasionally. It rocks. I need more cowbell . . . I mean, anime music.

Sure! I have the Dance Dance Revolution song "Butterfly" on a CD...

If you think I get looks from singing "Cruel Angel Thesis", imagine driving down the street when you see a black car with a black dude singing about how he's a buttefly looking for a samuari. Not pretty...

Sol-Fa by Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a goooood driving record. I love it.

Also, the Rurouni Kenshin soundtracks are excellent for driving.

I have a CD burnt with MP3 from a lot of shows that I usually listen to while driving. Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell make up a good portion of it, but there's a lot more from the likes of Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Super Gals, Final Fantasy, DNA^2, DNAngel, .hack, Jubei-chan, Sailor Moon, and many more.
