Full Metal Alchemist games

Postby KBMaster » Wed Nov 15, 2006 4:05 am

I REALLY want these games(both of them) for Christmas after playing the demos. However, I know that a lot of anime games(save for the almight Naruto games, so I've heard) aren't worth getting. This game looks very similar to Kingdom Hearts, so that looks like a bonus. :) Can someone tell me the good aspects and the bad aspects?

Also, why is there blood in the content description? It's just in the cutscenes, right? If so, is it very frequent?

According to gamespot.com:
[quote="The first FMA game (6.2 out of 10)"]The Good: Alchemy abilities give you some nifty combat options.
The Bad: Partner AI is unwieldy and cumbersome]

The second one seems to have gotten a 7.3 out of 10.

I really wouldn't consider the Naruto games good I beat the whole game in less then 20 hours (Not being my game it was my friend's but he didn't really do anything) and the gameplay got incredibly boring I had trouble finishing it.

Are you serious? Do you mean the gamecube ones or the playstation 2 one? The gamecube ones are GOLDEN my friend. They are some of the best fighting games I've ever played.

Yes the one on Gamecube after two weeks, no, less than two weeks and it was very boring. So boring that I just couldn't play it anymore. I probably shouldn't have brought that up 'cause I knew that you would get on my case for it >.<

Ah, I figured that the A.I. would be stupid. Most games with sidekicks that have their own will do have low A.I. Thank you so much!
Er, I was just using the Naruto games as an example. I've never actually played them. ^_^

I'm going to assume those would be Clash of Ninja 1 and 2. The first two are mediocre, dude.

Anyways, The Full Metal Alchemist games are great. The 2nd one was a fantastic game, but the first was just a little over mediocre.

The Alchemy system is great and the characters and plot were done well.

I recommend the second over the first highly.

Just keep in mind, the manga and anime almost take place in a different universe since the same story is told so differently. This game is the same deal.

Yes, Clash of Ninja 3 and 4 are rumored to be amazing games (at least the version you SHOULD import since the dubbing may ruin the experience a little).

It's rumored GNT 4 (The original name for Clash of Ninja 4) is superior to Super Smash Bros. Melee.

^ And somehow, I doubt that. Let's see...Nintendo's finest party game compared to 3rd party NARUTO game? Nintendo wins.

I'm just going by an article I saw on the internet a while back and MSP's opinion that he oh so constantly shares.

Not to mention, have you PLAYED Naruto GNT 4? If not, then I believe I am wasting my time responding to this.

*checks the name of thread*

So anyways, anyone here know when FMA 3 comes out as well as the DS installment?
