But it also showed that the actress who plays Jackie can really act well.I mean first we see her as the uber-snobbish parallel version of JAckie that winds up getting
cyberized and then later on when they return the regular DW universe we see her again as normal Jackie.
I think it was inevitable that after Ricky died Mickey would take his place in the
Cyber Resistance.
btw:If you have a copy of The Discontinuity Guide look what it says about pleasure boat rides in Invasion of The Daleks.
Basically they were questioning why they would still have them when Earth was under Dalek control.(A gaff someone forgot to cover the sign when filming.)
I noticed a similiar nit at the end of The Age of Steel on Friday.Half of London was
Cyberized and they still have plenty of traffic on the streets?

On yesterday's episode we learned two things:
1)Why tv is bad for you.
2)The Doctor invented the VCR!

I always find it a bit rediculous / ironic when TV shows have as their moral that TV is bad for you. (Not that I think that WAS the moral of Friday's WHO.)

Also funny is how whenever there are TV shows on TV, they have to look like outrageous drivel, so the real TV show looks deep and artful in comparison. :eyeroll:
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

I was saying that in a jokingly ironic manner.I mean you get your face ripped off by the telly and what else are you led to think about tv?
Wasn't this about the same time that the 7th Doctor and Mel were fighting the
Bannermen at that resort camp in Wales?

It's called satire, Doctor Who has always had a healthy dose of humour about society and its joys and problems. The 28th season is an exceptionally strong one though - and the new Doctor is funny as anything. There is a strong British flavour to many episodes, do you Americans have much trouble getting the jokes or understanding some of background details?

Ditto. I've pretty much grown up watching DW because of my dad, so I'm very used to it at this point. I actually really love British humor. It's part of why I like the show so much. I am definitely starting to like this Doctor a lot now. He really puts the humor back into it, but he's also very, very serious at times. He's got more of a Tom Baker style.

I got started around the time of the 7th Doctor/Ace pairing which is why they have always been my favorite combo of Doctor and Companion, although the 10th Doctor and Rose are now close, but so are the 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane.

Yup.
That writing had to be really ancient for the TARDIS translation not to work on it.
I mean that would have to mean the unnamed civilization was several billion years older than the Time Lords,if that were possible.

The ending had a really good,'how the heck are they gonna get out of this one'
feel to it,even better than the ending to the Cybermen 2 parter.

They're having their annual after Thanksgiving movie fest on Sci Fi this week so we won't find out what it is for awhile yet.

Torchwood. It's said to be a lot darker than DW and is being played at the later hours for a more adult audience.
