About two days, but to be fair, it was during a college week and I didn't get much game time in.

I didn't even get past it in two hours, and then after that, the game broke, and I couldn't beat it. I didn't even get to the real game.

It's not a waste of time... it's important to the plot later. It took me three hours cause I spend my time doing everything, but I liked it. I'm sorry your game broke, but just take it back to the store. They usually have a warranty on the game for the first week or so.

Honestly, I think that Roxas is the single best part of KH II. During the first hour or so I was hating it, but I really did like the roxas character. By the time I got through it; I didn't want to see Sora ever again.

I hope that they create a roxas game... I really came to dislike Sora in KH II.

Trust me that the game gets really good as you get into it further. And the roughly three hour Roxas prologue is definately extremely important to the plot.

I really came to dislike Sora in KH II.

I've never liked nor disliked him. Although KHII in the longrun made me seriously doubt his heterosexuality.

Actually, I didn't think this was the best use of time either. It definitely plays important roles in the plot and establishes a few things that were necessary, but I felt the amount of time required for it was unnecessary and not terribly enjoyable (less so much the mansion stuff, more so the mini-quests).

However, Roxas is approved in my book. Dual-weilding is very fun, and I would have had no problem if he was the main character.

I've actually only played the tutorial / prologue / whatever, 'cause I was at a friend's house and all that... Well, actually, I did get to the end of it and to the part where Sora gets his cool thing. 8D But not too far past the tutorial / prologue / whatever. xD;

And I really liked the prologue. D: Although, I guess I could be sorta considered as a Roxas fangirl or something. xD;;; *almost cried when the tutorial ended*

I liked the fight between Roxas and Axel, but not much else.

The thing that bothered me the most was earning the cash for those jobs. That took WAY too long. I just ended up doing the fastest job 16 times to earn the 800 I needed. Let me tell you, I NEVER want to see that freaking skateboard job ever again. EVER.

It took you a long time? Or... does that part happen again? You see, I've onyl played the game up until Roxas gets to get fighting ring. Sad, but I've had no time and been into other games when I do game. I just know for the job part, I hardly did alot :/ I believe I tried a couple jobs (the skateboard and moving one, and the ball smacking one) and then ended up getting the amount I needed. So unless there's another part where I have to do jobs *shrugs* didnt' take logn for me^^

The other part where you have to do jobs comes when you're trying to fill Jiminy's Journal near the end of the game. But I got sick of the skateboard game at the beginning when you're trying to earn money for the train. Like I said, I figured out which job took the fastest to do (the skateboard job, which takes about five seconds to do), and did that over and over again to earn the required amount...I got so sick of playing it though.

Took me three hours and I don`t even own the game. but I thought it was fun. I am not done with the main game though...and i don`t think i ever will be. *Friend problems*

I may be the odd man out here...but I despised Roxas and the tutorial level. XD By the time I'd gotten to Sora I had nearly given up on the game.

It also took me three hours to finish that level. My family actually came up to check on me after they heard me scream, "IT JUST KEEPS....GOING!!". XD;;

It was weird to see the title screen after having been playing the game for a few hours. I liked how they used characters from FF8 as his rivals, and the whole storyline of Roxas. Jesse McCartney does a really good job for the voice and the punky style he had was cool.
The whole game doesn't really make logical sense, anyway, but it was fun, first part included.

I can. He was much more serious in KH1. and much less gay.

Sora became a real... wuss..? dork..? or... whatever, in KH2. In any case, he was barely tolerable. I really hated the personality change and wondered why exactly they gave him one in the first place.

i watched my brother play the first one when it first came out years back so i don't remember whether or not i liked sora.....but i actually played the second one and at first i thought that playing with roxas was stupid, but after a while i started to like him and when he found sora i didn't want him to go....as for how long it took me to complete the roxas level it think it was however many days he had in the game which was like five i think....and i'm proud of myself because kingdome hearts 2 was the first game i actually beat...

To be honest, I thought Sora got better between games. Older, better outfit, seems a bit more respectable in battle. Of course, the negative aspect you mentioned didn't affect me as much because I've always thought the emotional parts were pretty bad.

Indeed. When the game came out, a friend of mine had it preordered and played it insanely until he finished. I went up to his room to check it out about the time he got to that point. It is almost enough to make you think the game is going to be insanely long, if that's just the prolog.

Actually, that makes me wonder if the Roxas part was originally intended to be shorter but kept getting extended. It doesn't seem quite right to have the title screen that far in.

I, personally, hate Roxas. If only for those hours of trying to get past his constant whiny tutorial. If he played more of a part than just at the VERY beginning and the VERY end, it'd be better. By the end of the tutorial, I was longing for Sora. ;_;

Well, having started up playing KH2 again (only played a bit once and that was it^^ I got busy and had other games to beat...) I felt the same way :/ Didn't mind it TOO TOO much but was thinking "C'mon I want to get to the actual story now!" But, I made it^^ I'll probably be into this game for the next little while...
