Tee, you need to buy a new CD before you start writing. That's what I just did. It helps to listen to some smooth tunes while you brainstorm ^_~

Yes, yes... hai hai... -_-"

Well, then TOMORROW'S the big day. *shivers in anticipation* Hope I don't end up getting writer's block -especially not on the first day! XD But again, I need to remind myself that it's an excuse to make myself write, so I don't need to stress. ^_^ Even if some people find stressing over it the fun part. :P

<Edit>Yay! All right! I've begun! :jump: It's fun so far. ^^ I'll try to work out how to post an excerpt on the site... I wrote a little something in keeping with a 'cheese' theme. Go randomness!

8D Way to go Photosoph!!!

T-minus 18 minutes until the beginning of NaNoWriMo here on the east coast. :B I'm excited.

EDIT: Gotta turn in for the night so I'm not entirely zombified at work tomorrow morning. x3 but I did get a good 700ish words and a near scooter collision out. YAY!

I'm about to start. I've found myself with a rather serious case of writer's block this afternoon. I hope I can get over it and start cranking out a lot of words

I know what you mean. I started off with a really serious, kinda angsty story, then got to a point where I thought... 'meh. This is annoying me. I wanna write something else.' That was when I switched and wrote a short segment about a cheese-like man. Random, but it uses up words and is completely fun. Just change topic, insert something random, or whatever you like if you're finding it hard to write. But man, I hate writer's block. Even now I'm not really feeling into writing... however I'll press on and try to use my own advice.

Also... when I tried to put up an excerpt (dang, is that how you spell it? That word is looking really weird to me at the moment. o_O ) it worked... kinda. Only for some reason chunks of it was missing when I viewed it on my profile. ...Maybe I tried to submit too many characters or something. *Shrugs* I'll just have to look into that a little more.

All the best, guys!

<Edit>I've tried posting an excerpt up again. If it doesn't read quite right, that means it's still not working properly. X_X

*\^o^/* yaay CAA NaNos! Write write write!

Still haven't written more since last night - schoolwork first. =X But so far my story seems so lighthearted...which would be fine, except knowing me it'll probably end up taking a morbid turn. ^^; We will see.

Well I managed to get about a thousand words written in the last hour ^o^

I'm having trouble with the Nano site, myself. Nothing's working for me at the moment. When it starts working, I'll read your excerpt and try to put up on eof my own ^^;

Oh and I'd say my story is relatively light-hearted so far. It's not exactly a light-hearted story, but I'm trying to tell it in a light-hearted way.

Go light-hearted stories! ^o^

Actually, the whole site itself is going really slow, I think. Maybe that's why you're having so much trouble. I guess a lot of people are using it. *Sigh* I wasn't able to check if my excerpt has uploaded properly or not yet... but ah well. Nevermind.

*Massive, whiney groan* Oh man, I really don't feel like writing right now. *Another massively whiney groan* But I guess I better get started. *Sigh...*
However, I'm sure I'll start enjoying it once I get into writing. ^^

I can't even get to the site...>>; Must be a lot of traffic on the first day.

I don't feel like the words are coming as quickly as they were last night, but I'm hoping to make it to 1700 by tonight!

yeah i had the same problem of chunks of my excerpt not showing upo in the profile...hmm...

and felix, im kinda the same as you- my story isnt really lighthearted but its coming out in a lighthearted way, which im happy about cos i dont want to depress everyone..............i kind of think in a roundabout way that my story is ging to say (or show) that because of Christ, all this negative stuff that happens to us doesnt have to destroy us and make us miserable.

Of course, my story's already taking off in a way I didn't plan it but hey... who cares! XD;; I'm writing!

edit: I made a post of stupidity.. ignore this XD;; I thought the TOTAL words written by everyone in NaNo was masokj's word count and I was disgusted with her... no more! I realized my mistake.

as an update, my word count is 4008 right now. Yay! =]

I have to catch up too; I cranked out the largest number of words on day one, but after that I've been kinda slow. ^_^"
I guess I'd better get back to writing... although first I'll hang around and reply to a coupla posts on some of the threads I've subscribed to... and then, it's off to forced-writing-land! :jump:

I know. I wrote NOTHING yesterday. I think I'll just try to get into the story a bit more and keep on writing; and not worry about trying to keep to the word count. Also, I found that if I wrote on it a couple of times in the day, it was easier than trying to crank out 1,667 words in one go.

But I'm feeling a little 'blah' at the moment, so that's probably got something to do with my unenthusiasm for writing. That should pass, though.

Yay! Congrats! ^^ Hope you'll find it fun. And remember -don't stress over making or not making the word count. Just write! :)

Oh hey, and here are some suggestions for you Felix: I hope these words might help to set you off with a few ideas to help you with your story. It's worth a try, anyway:

A mysterious character briefly entering and leaving the scene.
Someone making a fool out of themselves by saying something stupid.
The colour gold.
A sudden change in the environment: an earthquake, rain, a rockfall, the ground giving way beneath the characters.
A sudden monster attack!
A random, silly character entering the scene.
Some random creature appearing.

Lol; random, but who knows? Maybe they'll help. ^^ All the best to you, and to all you others! Hope you writing goes well.

And once again... welcome to the group, Mr SP!
