I have studied real witchcraft for years.

As have I. Studying witchcraft in itself is not bad. If you're going to write an essay, like this man did, on the vices and virtues of the Harry Potter books, then of course you would do some reading up on witchcraft to see if the spells contained in Harry Potter have any relationship to the real thing. I've written several papers on what witchcraft really is and what the Bible says about it, so of course I'm going to read up on witchcraft, too. There's no harm in studying witchcraft, just like there's no harm in studying Buddhism or Hinduism. The only time it's harmful is if you're studying witchcraft with the intention of practicing it.

Exactly. Although, this goes hand-in-hand with that thread Volt made where we started talking about whether it's okay for certain people to be involved with the viewing of certain types of fantasy. The idea, basically, is that its okay to see it, as long as you have no intention of and have the spiritual maturity to keep yourself from taking it seriously.

And this goes hand-in-hand with what this site is about when it comes to Anime.... the most common question is "is this ok," yet the answer is so subjective that we now have a "do not discuss" list (which I agree with BTW).

Even the less contriversal animes tend to have a wide range of everything from "I wouldn't watch that if you taped my eyes open" all the way to "It's the best Anime ever created, can't wait for more!"
