Nintendo DS: GBA Connections

Postby Photosoph » Sat Oct 21, 2006 3:34 pm

Hey, this is probably something all you NDS owners have come across when running GBA games... but have you found that you can't use any GBA games' multiplayer aspects?

Personally, I don't have one of those old link cables for the GBA, but would that work to let you link up to play DS to DS or even DS to GBA with those games? Or does the DS limit you to not being able to connect up with others when playing the older games?

If that's so... are there any plans to make some sort of attachment to make linking up possible?

Lol, lotsa questions I know. Hope someone out there has some answers. ^^

The DS unfortunately doesn't have a port for the link cable, so you can't use it for GBA games...sorry.

Aw man. T_T Oh well. I still love my DS, but I wish they had a port for the link cable, or something else that'd do the job. Thanks for the info, Kae. ^^

You know, one would think the big N could come up with a firmware update or something that allowed that to work. That, or they just figure it isn't going to be that important to DS owners. Whatever.

Yeah. I hope they come up with some sort of firmware thing in the future. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. That, or buy a second-hand GBA.
