Well this week ep Sword Dancer was better, but there is one thing that bugs me a little.

Is it me or does story pace a little fast?

Maybe its just me.

This is one of the few episodes I actually anticipate. Did you see it via AdultSwim's streaming or some other method?

It's episode 11.

I zoned out between the end of Trinity Bleach and the middle of Bleach so what was with Ichigo's body getting hijacked?

Basically, Ichigo's body was accidently "injected" with a Mod Soul, a soul that enhances a certain attribute of the human body but is not technically supposed to exist any longer under Soul Society law.
It didn't help that this particular Mod Soul likes girls far too well...hence Tatsuki going ballistic in the classroom...

As for Trinity Blood: Didn't really know what to think of this episode and was surprised that it didn't centrally feature any characters we have already seen.

I was disappointed by this episode, mostly because I actually had expectations. It didn't feel as though it really covered anything new or was that significant. On a much lower level, critically, I'm disappointed that an episode featuring a swordsman didn't have anything that cool in it. Personally, I would have liked it better if he actually fought with a metal rod; it'd at least be somewhat interesting.

Hold up you can watch anime on adult Swim's website!? O_O. I was told that only their regular shows were on there...of course I did not check for myself. I thought the story was going to be focused on the silver haired father and the red headed nun (I cant remember their names). SO I was a little confused but still this episoed was awesome.

As for Bleach I'm actually starting to enjoy it now. I retract my coment on it being kiddy.

Right, but that's almost to be expected. What I meant was that I thought it would have been cool if he had actually fought with the rod.

Abel (silver-haired father) and Esther (red-headed nun) are indeed the main characters. But Trinity Blood has no problem taking an episode or two off to introduce new characters. All of them will play a role in the same plot eventually.

Adult Swim's website has a feature called the Fix. Friday evening, if I recall, they stream quite a variety of episodes, many of them new, and you can watch whatever you like.

Other then the premiere eps. All premiere eps air on adult Swim fix on Friday from 6 pm to 6 am EST.

The new eps of Trinity Blood and Eureka 7 air at that time.

The one anime that you can watch every day on AS fix for now is, Samurai Samurai Champloo.

Yup, as previously mentioned I use the Fix, although this week I got to see Adult Swim because I was home for the first time all semester.

Hmm. As for the episode itself, very good I would say. It expands on the greater world of Trinity Blood, and gives us a chance to see what Katarina is up to absent of involving Father Abel, so we get to see her reaction to a mission that was less than ideally handled. However, her back up plan was Gunslinger, so how smoothly did she expect it to go? As for the character of father Hughe, the jury's still out. I don't care for him much at this point, but we shall see.

Katherina is one of the few female characters that I have ever seen who uses a

monocle. Some how it makes her look cool.

Trinity Blood: Another filler episode, really. I strongly suspect that it will have no significance to the main plot. Hopefully this trend will not continue. It seems the anime added a significant amount of extraneous content; I would read the manga for the main plot if it didn't annoy me on several accounts.

And just to comment on Bleach, in the recent episode (in Japan) one of the filler villains actually died. I strongly approve; it just means they'll get back to the manga sooner.

Not to be really hateful or anything, but I suspect that Trinity Blood will end up sucking really badly. My friend told me that the mangaka (Storywriter I think) died before it could be finished, so the artist had to continue making his own ending. Then in the anime they just made some crap-tastic ending or something.

This is according to my friend, who says he's seen it all.

Anyone else seen all of Trinity Blood?

Actually, it was technically the novelist who died. Trinity Blood was originally a series of novels.
But, I don't know how it ends.

This week's episode was sort of weird however. All those Peter Pan references.

Wierd but fun.The bits with the wings were the weirdest parts though. The rest seemed pretty straight forward.Though I thought it odd that the scientist that created them looked a bit like Aramaki from GITS:SAC.

BTW, is anyone else here besides me offended by that wussy pope? I'm appalled that anyone would think he'd be a pope in the future. I would think someone with that important a position would have more of a backbone.

I found this episode of Trinity Blood forgetable. Was the dark-haired convict a regular character or no? If not, I would suppose he was a foil for father Nightroad.

I know some about the ending, though not enough context to be able to make any judgments about it. All I am hoping for is that the series will even out and have quite a few solid episodes before the ending.

rocklobster wrote:BTW, is anyone else here besides me offended by that wussy pope? I'm appalled that anyone would think he'd be a pope in the future. I would think someone with that important a position would have more of a backbone.

There seems to be the implication that the position is hereditary. This is either an intentional change by the author or an example of not doing any research.

Doubleshadow wrote:I found this episode of Trinity Blood forgetable. Was the dark-haired convict a regular character or no? If not, I would suppose he was a foil for father Nightroad.

He had better be a regular character or I will be further disappointed. If none of the primary characters can serve as a foil, it is time to consider if you need one (and if your comedy is solely dependant on that, you need to reconsider it as well).

Actually there is the impression that he and Katherina might be brother and sister.
That is what I got out of the first couple of episodes.
Also it may not be that unhistorical to have such a young Pope.Read the book:
The Bad Popes, there were all sorts of political goings on that families like the Borgias and Medicis underwent to guarentee one of their own would end up in
the Papacy. In fact Rodrigo Borgia who later became Pope Alexander VI was barely 17 when he became a Cardinal and a couple of the Medicis were just as young.
The fact of the matter the Papacy was as much a political plum as a spiritual one
which is why there was so much fighting over it by the great Italian and especially
Roman families of the Middle Ages.
Except the Borgias who were Spanish.

Well, what do you know? I have information on a series that others do not for once. According to the information I have from the issue of Anime Insider I bought specifically for it's breakdown of Trinity Blood, the Pope (18 years old and recently elected) is the half-brother of both Katerina and Francesco (the mean cardinal). I'm not sure whether Katerina and Francesco are full brother and sister or not. They have different last names, but the short bio. on Francesco refers to Katerina as his sister and not his half-sister. Francesco is also the oldest.

As for the episode itself, much better in my opinion. Somehow that last episode felt like filler, and now it feels back on track. Hurray! The character with the super long-hair they introduced, von Kamper, has a bio. in the article as well but it's spoilerish. Because they gave him a bio. at all, he looks to be an important player.

Yeah, but the Reformation cleaned some of that mess up. I'm sure you'd agree things are much better these days. (Sorry, my knee-jerk Catholicism apologetics kicked in. :bootout:

I actually happened to catch a few minutes of Trinity Blood last night (I hadn't watched it until then). The art is very nice, and the characters seem interesting enough. Now, if only I could remember to actually watch AS anymore...XD;

So does Sister Noelle actually have a thing for Father Abel or was that the wine
talking?

On Bleach all I have to say is no wonder Ichigo is the way he is,except for his late mom his entire family seems to be a bit dysfunctional.

Sister Noelle does feel that way about Father Nightroad, although it looks like she died in Barcelona, so you won't have to worry about it.
