Seems poor Goro is a very bitter man. But I've read his translated blog and his father (Hayao) was a working man who spent little time with his kids.

Let this be a reminder to all that when you have kids, no matter how busy you are with work, always remember to spend quality time with your kids. And they will thank you for it later.

Thanks for the article Hisashifan!

I'm more worried about this, then son vs dad thing.

Oooh I've been waiting Tales from Earth Sea to come out for awhile now. According to Gorro's diary entries on nausicaa.net, Hayao Miyazaki was a bit of a dead-beat dad.

I personally think the Sci-Fi channel thign is dumb :/ I mean, the have the rights to the title itself (which really is just the live-action show), but not the anime :/ I mean it's not liek they themselves licensed the anime :/ So if it's gunna take who knwos HOW logn for the movie to get here... being unlicensed, guess I'll download it to watch it once someone subs it (which'll be in a few months when the DVDs get released in Japan).

I hate it when a studio sits on anime/manga rights and won't release the project. I'm confused about that "dog in a manger" phrase, though. Never heard it before.
