I suspect that there will be a little indentation around the center hole of the cd tray where small discs will fit. That's how it worked on my computer feed tray anyway.

*seconds what Mega said*
I don't think there's going to be a tray to put the game in. It feeds into the system itself like a macintosh computer slot.

Oh! Sorry, I misunderstood. If it's just a feed slot where you put the cd in then it should be self centering.

Well crud, our local Rhino's Videogames isn't taking preorders. Guess I'll have to try the EBGames that's thirty miles from here (unless there's a way to have it sent to your house?).

Both Wii and PS3 have that "feeding" disc thing? I don't like that... I just don't trust them... It's more mechanical parts that can go wrong, and it may decide to "feed" on my brand new game... *crunch* Ok, so maybe the chances of this happening are pretty small, but they still scare me... I'm most comfortable with the tray... I don't even like the PS2 slimline...

I'd be camping outside Wal-mart or Rhino if it weren't a Sunday. Seeing as it is, I'll probably just head over to one of the two after church to get it, and it seems there may be a good chance they'll enough available for that day and the next (especially since our local game store isn't taking preorders =P).

Just have to hope I'll be able to find Zelda with it...

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm gonna do. This is a pretty small town, so I'm hoping there will be a few in stock, since APPARENTLY they aren't taking preorders on the thing...anyway, if I get one, I get one, if I don't, I don't...it's not a big deal, really.

Heh, there's no way in heck I'll be able to preorder or get one of these before Christmas. ToysRus is the only place around here taking any preorders and it only had 5 available and people camped for 2 days and snapped them up ^^; Zeldd pre-orders are sold out too. Guess I'm waiting till the spring to get mine.

Does anyone know if the Wii will still be bundled with Wii sports after Christmas?

Yes, the Wii Sports is a standard packaging starter. I guess they finally got the idea that selling a console with nothing to play on it is a bit of a daft idea.

I have never bought a game system anywhere near its launch date so I was wondering is it likely that i could walk into a store on launch day and buy one? I know it sounds stupid but i figured i had better ask then wait for launch day to get one and there not being one at any store.

Its possible in theory but unless you live as a hermit or live around an amish settlement I wouldn't bet on it actually happening.

Wal-mart takes pre-orders now! If our local one is doing so, I'll probably be getting a pre-order today. =D

EDIT: Bleah. Figures they wouldn't have it. >_>

Well, guess I'll just be waiting for the launch then... =p

Well, I'm pleased with Snake's fighting style ~ it's a bit over-the-top compared to the MGS series, but that's Super Smash Bros. for you. I did like the "shoot your foe with a rocket launcher point-blank" attack.

P.S. I would personally like to see Sonic and Viewtful Joe in SSBB, but I don't know if that's likely at all.

Is there a shortage on the Wiis too, if stores are only getting 5 units a piece?

Smash Brothers definately looks nice... Is there any info on the pricing structure for the Download service, and what sort of licensing they're doing?

Nope. Nintendo's actually ahead of schedule.

The reason why some places are only getting 5 is because they're being cautious. They don't want another XBox360 crisis.

There will be PLENTY of Wiis ready for launch.

For example, alot of Targets are getting over 100, though mine is only getting 69.

EDIT: Actually, I hear the NES and SNES games are 2-3 dollars, while the N64 games are 10 dollars, or something.

What do you mean what sort of licensing?

I work at Gamestop part-time currently. We have been guaranteed at least 30 units at launch. Not an overabundance, but the holidays are coming, and we can't predict how many people are going to buy one. Well, other than the 30 pre-orders. If it's as successful as it appears it will be, there will be a shortage only due to extremely high demand.

On another note; Gamestop and EB Games should have thier Wii kiosks up and running. If you wish to play the Wii, you will need a state issued ID. (This is to prevent theft, as the controller is not in any way tethered to the kiosk) Just ask the employee for the remote. :)

I mean Nintendo doesn't hold the rights to sell any game they want. They have to get licensing agreements with the companies that made them. IE To get Mortal Kombat, they'd have to get Acclaim's permission and make some sort of agreement with them. To get Final Fantasy, they'd have to get squeanix... Etc... For no-longer-existing companies, I'm not sure whether this process gets easier or harder. Also, for the Genesis and Turbografx games, they have to go through Sega and... NEC? Is that who made the Turbografx?

Not much longer to launch day.

I'm still hoping for a Fresh Prince game
