I actually just heard about it today from a friend. I haven't seen any previews for it, and I have no time to go to the theater, so I doubt I'll be seeing it anytime soon...XD

Maybe someday, though.

I thought it was a movie about the people traumatized from waking up with the Burger King guy in bed beside them trying to give them a breakfast sandwich. But now I know better.

I would like to go see it too. I think it is based off the book Hadassah and though I havent read it yet, I heard good things.

I saw the trailor for the movie and it looks interesting. The scenery looks great, hopefully the direction and acting follow suit.

I loved the book Hadassah, so I'll have to go check this movie out.

XD The Burger King mascot is traumatizing enough on TV, let alone having him appear in your bed... *shudders*

I just got back from seeing this in the theaters. I really enjoyed it. The story of Ester is one of my favorites in the Bible, and it was great to see it brought to life.
I was also geeking out about the reconstructed Persian architecture, since we recently went over the Persian empire in architectural history.

I saw it...

I didn't like it. There were a lot of aspects in the movie that were just too unrealistic for me... plus, I think they kinda strayed from the actual story of Ester a bit too much for my taste... so much so that the story was becoming more and more difficult to follow.

I kind of felt the same way... it wasn't quite the story you read in the Bible. But I'm not sorry I saw it, and it was a lot cleaner than the literal Bible story probably would have been!

Also, I saw during the credits that it was based on a novel. So it was like 2nd or 3rd hand from the Bible.

As a story, it was fine. But not my new favorite movie.
