some people like to say that. But I believe that as long as it is not yet out to buy in the US, you're cool to watch fansubs. Most fansubbers will stop subtitling videos once licensed though; for legal reasons.

oh, it's licensed now? YAAAY! I'm gonna try to buy it since I watched the fansub.

It's a very good anime, and if you're curious, we already have a review for it. And if you want to see my favorite screenshot in the entire series, just click on the little hopping house in my sig and will take you to my (very empty) home page.

Ahaha, that's my favorite scene in the whole show! When I first saw it she sits like that for so long I was like. "... did my computer freeze?" And then the one and only time I went to anime club and they were watching that episode and they all did the same thing! I was sitting in the back trying so hard not to laugh.

That's too funny! I thought my DVD player was messed up at that part, until I heard the very small "Eh?" at the end!

Assuming you have it fansubbed then yes/no you could watch it. It all depends on your morals, and if you follow the unwritted set of fansubbed guidlines.
Fansubbing exists because as we well know anime doesn't make it here fast enough. Well, that's sorta right. Its because anime wasn't making it here at all, and token americans (i.e otakus) wanted to see it in a way they could understand. Thus they hired translators to subtitle VHs's or had someone write a synopsis of the eps so that you could read and know what was going on.
So, basically they weren't hurting the anime industry as there really wasn't one. On the other hand if an anime qualified and actually got licensed over here, they dropped the fansubbing of it. Then they bought it here to create interest in anime. It is because of these pioneering otakus that anime is over here.
Back to present day anime. The same rules still apply with some added restrictions.
1. You watch the fansub and it comes to the US you buy it.
2. You make sure to support the anime industry here if you watch any fansubbing or at the very least a anime fan.
3. You never spend money on fansubs as this doesn't help the fansubbers, but it helps the pirates of fansubs.
4. Don't ever buy anime from a Taiwan company or anime that comes with english and chinese subtitles as these are almost always bootlegged or stolen and won't help the anime industry.
5(my added rule) you wait till the whole series is out on fansub, because typically by then you know if it is coming over or not. Sometimes it would probably be better to wait and rent it/buy it here and occupy your time with anime that won't make the cut.
All of these are "on your honor" type of things, but I like the guidlines myself.
I plan on getting Scrapped princess once the entire series is out here, because I watched some of the fansubbing. It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jman, I avoid giving my aim/msn to anyone since I have had some bad experiences, but I will Pm you if I come up with anything intelligent to say.
BTW: What was the scene, I couldn't get the webpage to load anything. Thanks

You can't get my page up? How curious .... try opening another browswer window and typing in
http://www.hoodiegypsy.com into your browser. (What browser are you using, btw?)
Well, if that doesn't work, try clicking

Interesting ... now I'm very curious as to why that's not working ... but not curious enough to do anything about it right now.

Scrapped Princess is cool for 3 reasons:
It is actually set in the far future after we became too advanced, but it is still in a medieval setting.
The scrapped princess is cute. okay someone had to say it. It just happened to be me.....
The ninja assasin guy rocks!!!
(think his name was kouga?)
There now someone give me commentary!!!
Must be on topic. . .
. . . . now more about the war between gophers and lawn gnomes. . . . . . .
bye

Yeah, it's most certainly a sci-fi/fantasy story, but there's a lot of human elements that also make it a striking drama. Then there's the funny parts, which adds comedy as a sub-genre. So ... if you like sci-fifantasydramacomedys, you'll like Scrapped Princess. Probably.
And just for the curious, but lazy, here's a link directly to the
Scrapped Princess review I wrote.

Best recommendation I can give is to read the review.
Simply though: there is a prophecy that on such and such day the Scrapped Princess with cause great destruction. . . or something like that.
The story concerns the Scrapped princess and her adopted bro and sis, and the concerns over the prophecy.
vague. ne?
