KKJ, Ash, and You

I was working on another KKJ-themed wallpaper tonight when God really laid it on my heart to post this.
I know some of you (at least the ones that comment) really like my wallpapers and are starting to admire the works of Tanemura Arina, which is good. That was part of my purpose. I find her art stunningly beautiful and wanted to share that beauty with others, along with the emotions and such I wanted to put into the pieces. But please beware; like everything her works should be examined cautiously.
One of her most popular series, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne (KKJ) needs to be treated with especial care. CobaltAngel made a comment earlier about starting to read the KKJ manga scanlations because of me, and I had to explain to her what I'm about to tell you. Should you chose to look into this title, it isn't perfect. There are attempted rape scenes, a brief bit of rear nudity, and some very interesting theology. If you want more details you can PM me or read the review I wrote on the series.
These "flaws" didn't stop me from loving the series, and obviously I still like it enough to use the art in my designs, but it did make me sensitive enough to it that I felt I should caution others about it. That's all I'm trying to say here--I know as the leader of this site I set the bar and am an example whether I want to be or not. When I know that others look at me and the choices I make concerning anime, well it makes you kinda sensitive. I hope no one thinks I am a hypocrite. I realize KKJ is flawed and it's not like I worship the series or let it shape the way I think about my God. I do find it wrong that they messed with Christianity to fit the storyline, but to the artist it may be no different than us using the Chinese zodiac to fit our stories. I sincerely believe the artist had no intent to mock us or our faith--and when you put into context 90% of the lies about God come from the mouth of a demon anyway, I'm willing to "forgive", so to speak. Plus, all her other works are, from what I percieve, clean save for a few curse words. This to me says she wanted to use these sensitive tidbits in this particular series for emphasis only, not that she really feels that way.
Anyway, like I said I just really had it on my heart to post this. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them--or if you know of anyone that's thinking about KKJ, please point them to this thread.
